Oh you know, sky is falling. Everything is doomed. Dave Matthews should set down his guitar and never play concerts again. Somehow founding members Dave, Carter, Stefan and longtime C'ville collaborator (since the BEGINNING) and musician on their worshiped albums Tim Reynolds does not make it the Dave Matthews Band anymore. Even if it contains 13 year band member Rashawn Ross (Only 4 years behind Leroi) and 10 year player Jeff Coffin. If you enjoy your shows this summer, feel guilty.

Good stuff. Once it started going without buffering and skipping it was some nice background for when I had some family over and we were just hanging out on my back porch chilling.

Anyone staying at Sleepybear know their policy on visitors or 'tailgating'? Their site mentions they charge a nominal fee to tailgate and it's based on availability, but they don't have much detail other than that. My buddy and I are considering keeping my hotel reservation and sleeping there assuming it's balls-hot out, but we'd like to be able to hang somewhere during the day, especially if the lots won't open until 3. We'd love to come join the beer share as well.

I had it on while doing car maintenance in the garage and only watched portions but it was a great listen.

I somehow got lucky and didn't have hardly any buffering issues either.

I don't know anything about Sleepy Bear. I have reservations there and at Dead Creek.

Along with Alex's question, can you camp beside your car at Sleepy Bear?

I've always stayed at Dead Creek.

They allow tailgating but once it gets packed, which it will, they stop allowing it. Not cheap from what I remember. $20 per person iirc.

They let you camp by your car if you are some of the early arrivals. Show up Friday and probably won't happen.

Doing Deer Creek for the first time this year and staying at sleepy bear. Hoping to hear from some who have stayed in past years. The website is nice but doesn't give a ton of info.

I know we have the beer share planned for Thursday evening and into Friday most likely. I know there are a few guys here who aren't staying and would like to join in so I'm hoping we can make it work. Arriving early Thursday I really hope I can stake a spot close to my truck. Convenience is everything to me when camping

I honestly wouldn't mind paying the $20/person if we were able to just drive over there, park, and hang with y'all during the afternoon on Fri and/or Sat. Of course we'll bring our own chairs, beer to share, party favors, etc...

Like, say we rolled up around noon on either day, would they have space for us as 'tailgaters?' If you pay to tailgate, can are you allowed to hang with people camping there? It seems so tiny from the pictures. One of the reasons I far prefer Green Acres, which is where we'll likely camp if we decide to go that route, but as of now I think we're gonna crash at the Embassy Suites, and we were hoping we'd be able to join on with some Ants campers or tailgaters during the day.

I'm honestly not sure. Haven't stayed there since 2007. It was super-packed and hot with the lack of trees. They had us jammed in a very small space and was just overall unpleasant. We showed up on Friday though.

I've been staying at Backstage since and really enjoy the laid back atmosphere. We have a huge area, with tons of trees/shade and we all park our cars right next to the site.

As far as Dead Creek there used to be lots of Creek Ants that stayed there and they all enjoyed it from what I read here, but I have no idea what it's like personally. Hopefully one of them can chime in.

Cool, appreciate the info! All of the reasons you listed are precisely why I always stayed at Green Acres too. Everyone all stacked on top of each other like the venue campground and Sleepybear (seemingly) I always insensitively called 'concentration camping.'

I had talked to Mike awhile back and it seemed like Sleepybear was the spot where the group was gonna be this year so that's why I was curious.
