I honestly doubt this affects the set for Saturday. Since when does Dave do anything special because of something as trivial as a live stream?

i didn't read through any comments, but I would imagine it will be on youtube after? This seems pretty common for bands that do a free stream of an entire show, i.e. Dead & Co.

I'm hoping it doesn't, but I believe it has seemed like it on paper from past things of this nature. I won't mind at all if they play the whole album. maybe we will just get some rarities on Friday if he does decide to keep it simpler/new songs for Saturday. either way it will be great

There are a few. You could refer to the Hangout Festival. was TV but still the same thing. That concert in Charlottesville too I believe was streamed wasn't it? Way back released as Live in Chicago at the United Center was webcast.

I doubt they’d play anywhere near the full album. I’m betting it’s a regular show with comparable sets to earlier in the tour.

I'm sorry but these scenarios are completely different.

As you've listed them:
1) TV, this is stream will be tuned in by I'm generously estimating 10% of the fanbase
2) The concert for C-ville was quick, mass appeal set
3) This epic concert was from 20 years ago and arguably their best and most loved tour. It was so long ago I don't think it can be compared to saturdays show. To add to that the LiC set wasn't any different than the rest of the winter 98 tour

This will be a standard set for a Night 2 show, with maybe an extra CT repeat or two. They've done this multiple times in the past, and it doesn't really effect the set. Jacksonville, Mile High, Hangout Festival, Beacon Theater, etc., come to mind right off the bat.

Maybe the encore will open with the first When I’m Weary. Maybe we’ll get 27 seconds of scat. Maybe we’ll be treated to a YouTube clip of a 2007 Idea of You. The possibilities are endless. I’m sorry for everybody in attendance.

Did anyone else notice that at the bottom of the stream page there are additional shows listed? Is it possible these will be future streams? I only asked because it listed out random shows (i.e. one night of chicago, one night of gorge, both shows at SPAC..)... again, could just be the internet doing internet advertisement things, but just thought that was odd.

That's... super interesting. Definitely don't remember seeing that earlier, and it's not advertising close shows to me, and it's not just a list of every upcoming show, either.

I’m thinking they’re just shows they want to sell some extra tickets for, since none of those dates are sold out, except Lake Tahoe. The only Gorge show they listed is the only Gorge show that isn’t sold out.

It’s just ads basically. On a lot of official band videos lately. Nothing to see here.

They are playing 3-4 songs off the new album live right now, it's going to stay like that for the tour hopefully. It hasn't changed since the album came out. The worst parts of 2010 and 2012 were when they overloaded the sets with astronomical amounts of new songs. They seem to have it figured out with 3-4, which is a perfect amount.

No album needs more than 4 songs played from it at any show, in my opinion.

Dave isn't changing a setlist because of a webcast, that's a really wild assumption to think he would do that.

I disagree. I think it would factor into his decision about the set list. Apparently he puts a lot of effort into set lists. So knowing that this is going out to a larger audience, he might load more "hits" maybe or feature more new tunes or add a rarity or two or any combination of these to surprise the Camden audience and the online viewers.

Maybe they weren't going to do any of the singles that night and now they might... Of it they release new single this week, it'll be featured. He might feel like making a musical, social, or political statement (or, again, all three). I think it would be odd if he didn't think a bit more about and revisit the set knowing it reaches a significantly larger audience.

I think it will be a standard show with maybe an extra highlight or two. 4-5 new album songs. In my opinion, the whole purpose is to sell more tickets for the not sold out shows. I think even the band and management know that showing a concert of all new and just a small portion of other songs won't achieve that.

What do you think the video quality will be?
Will that have multi-camera shots?
Will this have the feel of Live Trax 44 Blu-ray as far as quality?
What about audio quality?
