I'll be there. will be bringing my recorder and if I see other tapers there, can attempt to stream. if there's no other tapers, probably won't stream to try to get audio pulls. I have no idea what to expect re: sound and the pod setup so gotta figure all that out first.

I saw a guy in a Goose group im in said he will be taking his tripod and trying to stream... but apparently there may be something official in the works.

Time off approved from work for Roo. Have a buddy who is 50/50 on coming along. He's gotta pass it by the fiancee first.

It's so exciting to have something to look forward to for the first time in over a year in terms of concerts.

    Here's a term we haven't heard in a while.

Hoping someone has a live scope of Roo.

My buddy is out. Looks like I'll be flying solo. Probably gonna do solo-roo camping so I can arrive any day.

Totally down for an ants Meetup for beers with the other couple folks in here attending.

I'll be there Wednesday afternoon/early evening (depending on the line). Definitely be cool if we could get together sometime.

I will definitely be catching Eric Church when he rolls through Denver. Easily one of the best country acts going right now.

Can't believe he is going to drop 3 new albums this month.

I'm about over the whole pod situation. Couple of cool shows coming to town (North Mississippi Allstars and Tank & the Bangas) but they're only selling 6-person pods at $250/pod. I don't have 5 other friends remotely interested in doing this and I can't justify $250 to see either of those bands for just my wife and me.

In all reality, since they're outdoor shows, I'm probably gonna find a nice spot outside the fence and sit there and listen to the shows for free.

6 person pod seems like way too much.

I really like what Legend Valley is doing for Goose. All pods went on sale at the same time for up to a group of 5, but you pay per how many people will actually be in your pod. For example, I bought a pod for 2, at a tier that was something like $70 per person.

If I had more friends I knew were going at the time, I couldve bought the same space for up to 5 people for more money. They also give you the option to add more people to your pod and just paying the extra price up until the show and let them know via email. So I have one friend on the fence who might hop in last minute and can join us right in our pod up front.

Was a little confusing during the onsale but I liked the options it gives you.

Looks like Newport Folk Festival is a go. Tickets to be distributed in phases, now.

    Thursday, April 8, 2021, 4:30 p.m. ET

The past two days have seen a flurry of activity in the music world as different states, artists, and festivals move in seemingly different directions. On Tuesday, California Governor Gavin Newsome announced that he was eyeing June 15th for a statewide reopening, a move that would include music venues.

“With more than 20 million vaccines administered across the state, it is time to turn the page on our tier system and begin looking to fully reopen California’s economy,” Gov. Newsom said via press release. “We can now begin planning for our lives post-pandemic.”

On the other side of the country, the Newport Festivals Foundation announced 2021 dates for both Newport Folk and Newport Jazz festivals. Newport Folk is set to return to Fort Adams State Park in Newport, RI July 23rd–28th while its jazz counterpart will take place July 30th–August 1st. As Newport Folk prepares for a reduced capacity this year, organizers have chosen to pivot the celebration to “two unique 3-day events of surprise performances, storytelling, and workshops.” Additionally, tickets for this year’s NFF will be sold in phases rather than all at once.

The past two days have also seen a fair share of developments on the touring side of live music. This week saw both Roger Water and Rage Against The Machine postpone their stadium tours until 2022. Meanwhile, Italian singer Andrea Bocelli, one of the highest-grossing entertainers in the world, announced on Thursday that he will hit the road for a North American tour beginning in October and running through December. The 21-city tour will take the singer across the United States and see him playing indoor arenas including Madison Square Garden, Allstate Arena in Illinois, American Airlines Center in Texas, and many more.

Loved them in the 90s. It's just really hard to think of BNL playing their hits live without Steven Page. I know they've been doing it for a couple decades now, but I think that's why I haven't seen them live since Page left (or got booted from) the band.

It felt SO good to buy concert tickets for the first time in 12 or 13 months. Checking out Goose in NH this June. It'll be my first Goose show, pretty damn excited. My girlfriend and little girl are both super into them as well, so our 3 person pod will be getting down hard.
