I'll be there for the 6th show in a row here. The Indy is always ridiculous but I've never had trouble parking on-site and getting out of lot and back on the Gardner in just a few minutes.

Twice I've gotten front row of the 200s, which is so damn sweet. I think more and more of those get set aside for VIP corporate subscription people, though.

They were good, but I’d rather have the A row like you had. Would be perfect!

I shouldn’t complain though, as every time I’ve requested pits I’ve got them.

Thinking of making our first trip to Toronto to see DMB...I would greatly appreciate any tips on how to make this an enjoyable experience. Thanks!

That’s not too hard, just show up.
Crowds usually really good, have heard most people say the pits really good, but chill.
Lots to do in the city and we usually have pretty great weather.
It’s also molson Indy week so there will be some road shutdowns during the week which makes traffic around the venue a bit of a pain in the ass.

How far from the baseball stadium is it?
Is there on site parking or how's that all set up?

This is good to hear! This is my first year with WH since I moved to Toronto, wasn't sure whether to risk a PIT request. I think I'll go for it.

"Hotel X" is relatively new and the only one truly close to the venue (like a 15 min walk, maybe).

From the Rogers Center, driving time is hard to say because rush hour can be stupid. But it's only a few km's as the crow flies. Someone else can weigh in on the parking cost and setup; depending where you stay, it might be cheaper to Uber. If you're considering transit, "Exhibition Loop" is where you'll get off/on, and because of Indy it's a hike the long way 'round (see attached map).

As mentioned, there are hotels around. Close as in 15-20 minute Uber.
Rogers Center where the Jays play is about 10 minute Uber. When in town for a couple days before the show you can often run into RR and Jeff at a game if there’s one on.
Parking on site and ample spots. Tailgate is weak compared to tailgating down in the states though.
Usually a meet up with fellow ants pre show is organized too.
Decent venue and nice location. All seats are good and lawn is ample plus it has a couple bars located at the back.
Spend a few days if you come. Toronto is a great city. You won’t be disappointed.

If we come up the day of the show early and then go home the next day is it worth the headache of crossing the boarder? Ideally we will come up the day before the show and stay two nights but not sure it will work out.

My kids want to go and hit up a game too if they can.
That said a hotel that's in an area where we can walk to at least one and is safe is worth it. It cost me $35 to park for a game before too.

Crossing the boarder isn't bad, it's time consuming depending on the point of entry. Avoid Rainbow bridge if you can and the wait is much shorter.

But seriously - your money goes a long way up here and there's something for everyone here. Friday is usually free admission at the Honda Indy - if you've never experienced auto racing up close it's very addictive
