Re: *** Official Asbury Park NJ - Sea.Hear.Now 2019***

Just booked a hotel in Neptune. Close enough and not crazy priced.

A little surprised by how much action this thread is getting. A lot of people dislike these one off last shows of the tour. I think it's awesome that so many people are posting in here and seem to be going.

This is going to definitely sell out. It was hugely popular in its first year and very well received by locals. It was really remarkably well done considering it was the first incarnation. I think a lot of the reason is Danny Clinch and the experience of covering festivals over the years and gaining contacts throughout the industry. He’s a music lover first and foremost so he had the fans interests in mind.

Neptune is very close. It can be a little shady but I’m sure you’ll be fine.

I'm sure I'll be alright. If you know any closer areas with reasonably priced hotels, let me know and I'll try to change. One thing I definitely need for right now is refundable, but also preferably pay later (still waiting on commitments from friends).

How is the re-sale on these tickets? Will I get face back if I buy now and can't go? I don't want to risk selling out but I also don't have a firm 100% commitment from my crew yet.

Edit: How is West Long Branch? For some reason I am thinking bad area.

Dmb looks to get 90 mins going off of what the two headliners got last year.
Both were slotted 9-10:30.... kinda short
Prob 14-15 shorter songs like that Beach Bash in Miami last month

Not from what I can tell. The ambassadors, however, are earning a free ticket and either MORE tickets or upgrades...

So you're doing them a favor as opposed to them doing you a favor.

I really wanted to go last year to see Ben Harper (primarily) and Jack Johnson, as well as Incubus. Gotta talk to my wife about this year. Hotels are stupid expensive though.

West Long Branch is fine. It’s a mostly college/beach house town. Monmouth Univeristy is located there.

You’ll be able to flip it for face if you decide not to go.

There is a Marriot and an Extended Stay just off exit 109 from the garden state parkway. It would be about a fifteen minute drive from there. Also, exit 105 has multiple hotels. If you booked in Eatontown you are most likely at one of these.

Hoping for John Butler Trio, Leon Bridges, Gary Clark, Moon Taxi, or Tush Saltana, just to name a few. I'm sure DMB ate a big chunk of their budget so I'm not expecting too much from the under card, unfortunately.

I used to live in Long Branch that La Quinta is not in a great spot. Right along 36 with nothing that great to walk to. Also, if you are driving be extremely careful the cops in this area give out DUI's left and right.

Check out the Belmar Motor Lodge. It's not the ritz but it will be much cheaper than most area hotels. It is also right next to the Belmar Train Station which is only 2 stops away from Asbury. Everything you need will be in walking distance and Belmar is a much more happening place than West Long Branch.

I will check it out. I kind of just assumed I could uber to and from the hotel? When I was in point pleasant a couple of years ago, that's what I did.

Not a ton... Right now my definites will be the standards... SPAC, Hartford, Bristow.

    Possibilities: Bethel.

There's a lot going on this year and not a lot of room to work with.

My cousin is getting married and the date is supposed to be 9/21 so unless that changes, Sea.Hear.Now is out unfortunately.

    You?

Spac, Hartford, Jones and Sea Hear. Was debating Nashville or Memphis but probably going to hold off. Maybe if the sets magically become impressive or noteworthy I’ll add one of them. The only other I could see myself doing is a last minute add of Camden or Bristow.

The Gorge was great last year (first time for me) but not sure if I want to do it two years in a row. It’s a big undertaking and there are SO many shows in the northeast.

Really? Under their schedule it said both headliners would play at 9 and be done by 1030. Is the schedule wrong or did they just come out late?

I'm not sure, I wasn't there. I got the times from last years performance.

Sea Hear Now Facebook handle says it will be a “full dmb set of at least 2 hours”. See attached screenshot. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...ed0621c63d.jpg

Really excited for this. I vacationed on the Jersey Shore as a kid and something this just feels really fun so I'm genuinely excited for a festival show.

How were the sight lines and sound last year? Sounds like you were in VIP but did you get a chance to see/experience what it would be like in the throngs of people?

Basically I'm wondering what the best place to see and hear the band would be.
