'05, I got to see Best of What's Around, Lie in Our Graves, and Say Goodbye for the first time (full band), plus the return of #34 in Mansfield, and I ventured outside of New England to SPAC, which was awesome.

Idk, I would say 04. I really felt Good Good Time, Sugar Will, Crazy Easy, LIOG was solid that year and so was One Sweet World. The boys definetly put on a bunch of great shows that summer...

'05 showed the progression of a new album, Halloween(s), #34, and others.

2005 was a far better tour.

2004 because Stand Up hadn't been created yet. I loved the lost 2004 songs, except for Joy Ride.

i would think almost everyone would vote for 2005. we saw minerets, say goodbye, 34, liog, halloween, and exodus which is alot more than you can say about 2004

I voted 05 purely because of 34, RR and Alpine. You take away those shows and I think 04 might be better...

I don't know, in 04 they weren't supporting an album, and they played the same 5 new songs every night, and the only old song they brought back according to dmbalmanac was space between

05 was just a awesome year, they may have played a lot of stand up songs, but they did try to do things to keep the more die hard fans happy (#34, YNK and so forth) plus RR, 04 was decent, but hearing the same 5 songs every night and no big setlist shockers, so I went with 05

I would hear GGT, Hello Again, and Sugar Will every night than Hunger, DG, and Stand Up. I voted for 05, the comeback of 34 and Red Rocks puts it over the top for me.

We saw more rare songs played. 34, 40, halloween, to name a few along with Red Rocks, Plus the band seemed more energized about playing their new album compared to previous album releases. Probally because they had a more positive effect on the fans compared to the previous albums

2004 all the way!!! The 5 "new songs" (hello again, sugar will, crazy easy, good good time & joyride) that should've made it onto the new album were all played - and they 'effing ROCKED! DMB also rocked Jimi Thing OUT in 2004....a lot of good oldies were played (ie: Granny, Recently, blah blah blah.....) My vote - 2004!!!!!!!!

05 featured RR, Rasawn Ross, Trey... and a few others, there were no major guests in 04, that was a big part of 05 being a better tour.

That's exactly my problem with 05. Without the guests, the new material would have been horrible, which I think says something.

10.3.96 the band made every song sound amazing without a guest... and without Butch. Because the material is just that damn good.

I don't think all the new material was horrible, granted I don't like NMDH and Stolen Away but songs like AB intro and Stand Up were great without guests.... Even Bayou is awesome without RR but when he plays it just seems to take the band to a new level. Most of the stuff that Ross guested on wasn't even Stand Up stuff, he added a ton to songs like Ryme and Reason and Rapunzel.

Ross added a lot for sure.

I think Stand Up, Bayou, and ABI all suck though. I'm not into it.

I can't pick. I had a great time during the '04 tour and loved the lost '04 songs as well. GGP, Alpine, etc. were amazing. However, i think '05 takes the cake with the return of 34, RR, Bonnaroo, etc...
