Re: Fantasy Football 2017: Talk, Advice, & Start 'em, Sit 'em

damnit I just saw that a 1-8 team in my 2 QB league just overbid the shit out of Josh McCown, after I put in a claim for him midweek.

I'm stuck starting Andy Dalton and Matt Ryan, with Wentz on the bench

ESPN adding ads to its fantasy app before you can see your score is so fucking predictable. What idiot makes this decision and things it won’t drive away users?

Ive had it the last few weeks actually. I think its just 1 ad per day like you said.

I'm 9-1 So I'm not thinking week to week but for the playoffs. I added ir guys like Woodhead hoping they get hot. With that said, there's a log jam of 5-5 guys so I'm trying to trade with a 4-6 guy hoping I can fleece him a bit cause he needs a win this week.
He has Christian McCaffrey. He's on a bye this week. I want to offer Carlos Hyde for him. What do you think? Hyde is actually ranked a spot ahead of McCaffrey but that kid is impressive. Just wondering if you'd do it.

Totally dependent on matchups... and Carolina's offense hasnt been lighting things up, and J Stewart still gets like 12-15 carries a game.

If youre trying to "fleece" someone, that trade is definitely not gonna fall under that umbrella.

You're right. And I just realized Hyde is on a bye so I'm also an idiot too haha.

Need three of the following four:

    DeAndre Hopkins vs. Arizona
    Stefon Diggs vs. L.A. Rams
    Mike Evans vs. Miami
    JuJu Smith-Schuster vs. Tenn.

Non-PPR. All four have done well for me this season so I am having difficulty deciding who gets benched this week.

JuJu, Diggs, & Hopkins. I wouldnt trust Evans on his first game back with Fitzy throwing to him.

    Pick 2 - 1pt PPR

    Lamar Miller vs Ari
    Duke Johnson vs Jax
    Dion Lewis @Oak

Went with JuJu, Diggs, and Hopkins. For you, I’d go Dion Lewis and Duke Johnson.

I know it's too late, but Miller is an every week starter.

General question: would you prefer Kamara or Bell in a ppr format? Asking cause I want to build a trade before the deadline.

Agholor. Smith is sitting and if last week is any clue to this week, dak wont have time to get it to bryant.

I have both and Kamara has been better for several weeks now. You can also probably get him for less.

I hate fantasy football so much. The guy I am playing this week needed 43 points from Russell Wilson and Doug Baldwin tonight to come back and beat me and he got it. So dumb.

Looks like Kamara isn't gonna happen.
We've been discussing me trading Funchess and Darkwa for Kareem Hunt. Hunt has been disappointing recently but I think I'm doing it because neither of those guys regularly start for me and hopefully Hunt catches a second wind. Thoughts before I accept?

Once the season starts, fantasy is 90% luck. It's why I don't even bother checking fantasy scores until the slate of evening games are over, so I can just enjoy football.

I really want to start Josh Gordon at my WR2 spot. I’ve had trouble there all season with a rotating ensemble of Emmanuel Sanders, Ted Ginn, Desean Jackson, and a host of other middling receivers. Haven’t seen much hype for Gordon’s return but I figure the Browns will use him as much as they can.

Clinched a playoff spot this week with my rag tag receiving corps that includes Sanu and Kupp as weekly starters. Trading for Kamara midseason really saved my ass... he and Brees together is something I'm going to miss next year.

Kamara has been the star of my team. Had Gurley and Zeke and picked up Kamara early enough to fill in for Zeke quite nicely.

He's far and away been my best player. Better than Leveon who I took 2nd overall. Early on my QBs were dragging me to wins (Dak and Brees, 2 QB league) and now the rest of my team is dragging my QBs to wins. If they can get their act together I feel like I have a shot. But at this point if I get anything less than a 25 from Kamara, I'm in trouble. Not a great spot to be in.

Also I dunno if I'd trust Josh Gordon right off the bat. I'm sure in theory they will get him involved. That doesn't mean the ball is going to end up in his hands. I mean you'd like to think they throw slants out the wazoo and set up screens but... Browns...

Can I trust Dak Prescott this week? Dude has been killing me lately. Backup is Stafford, who's been solid, but coming off an injury and at Baltimore. :/ Also could pick up Keenum...

I'd go Dez and Tate. Algohor hasn't been impressive the last bunch of weeks. He only scored last week because of a fumble recovery.

No idea what to do here. Really handcuffed with Hogan and Woods injuries.

    Standard scoring.

    Ekeler vs CLE
    Questionable R Matthews vs HOU
    Rod Smith vs WSH
    D Westbrook vs IND

I have Ekeler in as of now.
