They've been down. I don't have a problem with it.

Childish, a little over the top but yeah, being way overblown.

Man, what a convo in hindsight.
    I guess.

We lost Grier on the second possession of the day, we had no shot at that point. Deflated the whole team and the backup isn’t even 1/8th as talented as him. We’re a different team without him.

He’s gotta have surgery now, but I guess they’re still leaving the option open for him to play in the bowl game.

We had no shot with score 0-0 against a 5-5 team.

If you knew how bad our backup is and how much our offense relies on Grier, then yeah you’d agree.

There’s a reason we only mustered 1 offensive TD the entire game without him.

It’s not a secret Texas is a more talented team then us across the board. All they had to do was stack the box and force Chugunov to try to beat them with his arm, and that’s what they did.

Odd time to fire Mora for UCLA... seems like a natural landing spot for Kelly.

Gonna be interesting to see how things shake out.

I don’t think it’s odd timing at all, to be honest. They’re definitely trying to get into the Chip Kelly sweepstakes. Just more surprised they decided to step up and pay the $12 million buyout.

Tend to agree. Think UF needed to lock him down this past week.

The only thing that makes me hesitate even the slightest is his alleged loyalty to Phil Knight and UCLA being a UA school.

There is a clear pattern of him being a complete and utter asshole on and off the field. I get that OU fans are going to overlook the pattern tho.

There have been a lot of reports about how Chip doesn't like to have to deal with overbearing boosters, the pressure chamber and would rather be back out west.

Significantly less pressure, easier conference and back on the west coast where he already has his old recruiting pipeline. Makes a lot of sense actually.

Has Rudolph had a reputation of choking on throws in big time situations or big games? I keep seeing some pretty bad overthrows or inaccurate passes in some crucial moments these last 2-3 weeks.

And why do you think they rolled over these last few weeks? There was so much hype for this team going into the season. And they still have all their major offensive weapons. Losing to OU and TCU is understandable. How much do you think the team culture just isn't used to being championship competitive late in the season? The way they lost this one feels like a team that just quit, despite them still being in the Big 12 race.

I'm not overlooking anything. I just think you're overreacting to him being brash on the field. He's got small man syndrome, he's small for a prototypical QB and he's a 2x walk-on...you can see that permeate his personality where he's constantly trying to stand up to bigger guys. And he celebrates by running around the field and talking back to opposing players. But it's so inconsequential. He's not getting in fights or doing dirty things. That persona stops outside the confines of the game.

His off the field stuff? He got drunk in Arkansas as a college senior and ran away from cops...yeah it was a dipshit move, but it was harmless

You got nothing else for off the field. He's not Johnny Manziel. He's not Cam Newton with off-the-field baggage.

I can understand being rubbed the wrong way by his personality on the field, but commmmeeee on, let's not act like he's some toxic character in CFB.

I've seen nothing that suggests it's a thing they do with regularity. KU players talked that they specifically planned to do it against the OU captains/Mayfield.

I covered this in my initial post. OU fans will defend him no matter what. There's no point in going back and forth.

Maybe should ask yourself why no one, outside of OU fans, really like Baker Mayfield as an individual (not questioning his talent).

I mean, an entire team is like "fuck this guy" (no one else and no other team) and you think it's KU. I mean, that's one take. I'd call it a biased take but it's a take.

But again, there's no point in going back and forth.

Rudolph had been clutch in the past, I'm not sure what's wrong with him. Some believe he's had an injury and they're not being honest about it. The past two seasons if we had the ball late, I knew he'd lead a game winning drive.

Feels like the team knew TCU won and any hope of making the B12 Championship game was over. They've started flat the last two weeks and yesterday was just too much to overcome. The worst part is, they almost pulled it out but like you said, Rudolph choked under pressure. Granted, he hit Washington in the hands for a first down to open that last drive but he uncharacteristically dropped it.

This may be the worst and most disappointing loss of Gundy's career.

I'm honestly trying to have a rational response about this. I'm just curious why you're so offended by his behavior on the field?

Is it b/c he beat OSU and the flag thing? Your sweeping claims of no one liking him is short on specifics that really point to Baker being anything more than just a dude who's brash and demonstrative on the field. Are you seeing something in the interviews and quotes from him that tell you otherwise? Honestly I think you've created a myth/caricature in your head of what he is, and the actual product in person is probably a lot more harmless than you've made him out to be.

And dont punt with a "no point going back and forth".

Is it b/c he beat OSU and the flag thing? I'm not punting. You're just failing to see the bigger picture.

How many apologies has he had to issue this year alone? How many apologies have any other players on OU had to issue? How many apologies has he then detracted? He's a mess.

It's not punting and there's no rational discussion to be had. The guy has serious control issues. He is very, and I mean very, reminiscent to a Johnny Football. Quit making excuses like he's the only competitive person or college kid that's gotten drunk. That's BS. He reminds me of Pryor at tOSU. tOSU couldn't win without him but he wasn't a good person.

Edit: So again, there's no point in going back and forth.

A whole lot on Twitter right now about Chip Kelly having officially signed the contract with Florida. Also a whole bunch of Gators tweeted out the "thinking face" emoji.

Bielema out here at Arkansas. Friday to be his last game. Nice guy, unfortunately it just didn't work out.

Now does Gus come home? Mike Norvell? Gonna be interesting to see who we get.

So if Chip Kelly signs just need Nebraska to be hit by 15 tornadoes and an earthquake so that Scott will stay Frosty in Orlando.

Also fuck USF....Tampa being called South Florida is real dumb.
