Re: **NCAA Basketball Thread**
I'm happy that Miller is gone. But I wish it was sooner. A month ago. A few years ago. The last few years have been utterly mediocre despite having a couple of lottery and other draft picks. But I want to take a second to appreciate what he did in Tucson. He was the 4th coach in 4 years after the rough last year or two of Lute. Lute promised the job to Kevin O'Neil who coached for one year. Then Russ penell. Then we offered the job to Tim Floyd who luckily turned us down. Miller initially turned us down too. It was a tumultuous time and Miller provided stability and averaged 25 wins for 12 years, 3 elite 8s (2 of which were 1 point away from final 4s), and some sweet 16s. Also some bad tourney possess and not even qualifying. Did I hope for more? Of course. It's frustrating to have so much talent and be so close but he recruited well and gave Arizona a chance, other than the last few years. It is time for a new chapter at Arizona, but I am grateful for what he did for the program.
