I'll be there...love the venue; I have Thunder season tickets and it's the loudest sports venue I've ever been to. Insane. It's awesome. The 2003 show here was very good and the PJ show here a few years ago was epic. Unless you are just in the absolute nosebleeds there isn't really a bad seat. Much prefer being at the arena as opposed to when they played the ballpark.

Bricktown area is solid. Plenty to do; plenty of places to eat/drink within easy walking distance or a very short cab ride. We hit up Texadelphia before most Thunder games-- just a few blocks away, solid food, good beer. It's a Tuesday night and it's gloomy weather so I don't expect the atmosphere outside to be particularly "live" but there are plenty of places to go to eat and drink.

I lived in Houston for several years and have spent a ton of time in Dallas... I much, much prefer OKC. So glad they played here again this year as I've seen them in both Dallas and Houston and much prefer the venue here.

I assume the parking garage at the convention center is the best way to go? Or is there anything closer or cheaper? I think the garage was only like 8 bucks anyway

In years past Bass Pro Shop and further east of ballpark was free parking if you want a casual stroll down to Chesapeake

Anyone have any dinner/drink recommendations down there on the riverwalk? I'm alone. Also hoping there aren't many of us GA so I can have a pretty good vantage point after I get there at 8 lol.

Our favorites in Bricktown are: Tapwerks (great selection of craft beer, and good food), KD's (Kevin Durant's restaurant, refined Southern comfort food), Fuzzy's tacos (beer and tacos, quick and inexpensive), Bourbon St. Cafe (New Orleans/cajun/creole).

There's also Hooters, and a few other spots. Some expensive like Mickey Mantle's or The Mantle. Both have great food/steaks, but are more expensive.

I will be there tonight and I am shocked at the hate in this thread. OKC is one of the cooler cities in the nation and the venue is great.

I travel all over and OKC is one of my favorites....

Not sure if it works this way for concerts and other events, but I am pretty sure it does---park in the $20 lot by the Uhaul Storgae just a couple of blocks east of arena....then if you/drink at any of the places right there (Texadelphia, In the Raw, Starbucks, etc.) show them your receipt and you get your $20 back.
