Anyone watch the premiere? One of the best premieres I’ve seen in some time.

I searched for a thread and I couldn’t find one. Sorry if one exist.

I just read his The Rats in the Walls. The Call of Cthulhu, The Nameless City and The Colour Out of Space are also worth a read.

Also I've been reading some Laird Barron. The Beautiful Thing That Awaits Us All is a great collection.

Stephen King has some good Lovecraftesque stories: N, Crouch End, Jerusalem's Lot, the novel Revival...

Thomas Ligotti's The Last Feast of Harlequin is creepy as hell.

I've heard of Lovecraft Country. Didn't know HBO made a series.

I'm interested in pretty much anything with sci-fi/horror elements, and the Jim Crowe era racism was infinitely more terrifying than those aspects of the premiere, but the writing and plot progression felt a little clunky to me.

Given where last night left off though, I think we're in for a wild ride, and I'll be watching live every Sunday night.

Skipped this and I think I'm going to save it all up to watch in bulk at some point like I did with recent HBO shows like Euphoria and Watchmen. Sci-fi is my least favorite genre and I always have to be in the right mindset to get into shows/movies that contain those elements.

I feel like there's already been a season's worth of developments in only two episodes.

And last night just goes to show that regardless of which fictional world they're inhabiting, Targaryens are always crazy.

The first two episodes could have played out over an entire season, and it still feel like a lot happened.

This show kind of sucks so far. This weeks episode will probably decide if I keep watching or not. Jurnee Smollett though

watched both episodes the last 2 nights. man that was a wild ride. concur with everyone in here saying that there was so much plot those episodes could have been an entire season. the last 15 minutes of E2 could have easily been stretched into a season finale

They certainly cover a lot of ground in a short period of time.

I really like last night's episode though. I was scratching my head as to how it tied in to the overarching story, but I was glad to see things come full circle in the end.

One of my best friends spent 30 min in our phone check in last week raving about this show. It sounds pretty fascinating to me, looking forward to binge-watching it if possible.

She also directed me to the podcast about the show. We will check it ALL out!

For what its worth, I've seen 3 episodes now and the 3rd is by far the best IMO.

Havent seen past it to see how the series holds up from there.

We have fun watching it. The performances and underlying story is great. If you can just get past the out there moments. Which some people can’t. Really liked the linked up story from tonight’s episode in Korea.

Not really sure what to think of the season as a whole. Tonally it felt like it was all over the place, and while I'll continue on with any subsequent seasons because I'm a sucker for sci-fi/horror, this show is far from being great television.

I want to like this show but the writing is very curious and the main characters whisper so much, I can't follow a lot of what they're saying.
