I don't even hear it as music. It's so melodic....one of the most beautiful songs ever composed I believe.

The words say it all. It's more than a song. It's almost Jerry reaching out and talking to each listener. Amazing. Just perfect.

Those are good candidates but Brokedown Palace gets me choked up everytime so I can't listen to it as much. But all of those are just as good.

Wharf Rat too. As in Deal>Wharf Rat. Insanity! Although I love Ripple, it doesn't move me quite like the ones I listed. To me, not much is better than Stella Blue.

Banana Pancakes, Straight A's, a walk-off HR in Game 7, A perfectly cooked steak. Those might be better than Stella Blue?

All respectable opinions and songs....we all can agree that its great music

Why is this thread not always on the front page like the Phish thread? Come on guys, lets talk Dead!

    Anyone seeing Furthur at Wannee?

Spring of '78 had some really nice shows.

I'm very partial to 4/15/78 (only Dew of '78!) and 4/24/78 (killer scarlet-fire)
