You can't throw something together where you're asking money from the state and think that it's just going to fly though in two days. That's a lack of planning. A lack of planning is a direct result of shitty leadership.
And, for blaming a republican, that's just you being a partisan hack. His responsibility isn't to the city of Chicago, so he's obligated to serve his constituents. This is a major issue that people in Chicago don't understand and apparently you don't get it either.

What was Lightfoot's backup plan? Where are the list of cuts? Where was standing up to CTU? Nowhere. That's the point. So what's the alternative? Apparently, the only alternative is to raise property taxes. And, as I previously posted, if anyone thinks big corporations or "rich" people are going to pick up the tab, then I'd refer them back to the link on Mike Madigan.
