This is categorically and statistically false. The vast majority of Americans are centrist/moderate. Pulling to the poles of either ideology is a recipe for disaster.
Dems should be focusing on who is most electable in a one v one against Trump. Warren and Bernie are wayyyy too far left to resonate with most normal people and won’t drive voter turnout. Trump is unpopular enough on his own with anyone between slightly right of center to the far left. I honestly think his unpopularity alone is enough to secure a Dem victory.
The simple fact of the matter is that the only real issue for this election is getting Trump out of office. We can sort out the details in the four years that follow. Getting us off this course he’s set us on as quickly as possible is the number one priority, full stop.
Dems would be doing themselves a huge disservice if they stayed at home because the Dems nominate an electable moderate like Pete, Harris, Biden or Booker.
