then either the show has issues or it really didn't get fully downloaded. i would post wherever you downloaded the show from ... or i hate to say it but delete and redownload. you might even be able to just delete the flac's that fail and redownload those.

If somebody could help me out, that would be great. I was trying to convert FLAC to .wav, using the FLAC decoder, but this is what it said:

"ERROR while decoding metadata state = FLAC__STREAM_DECODER_END_OF_STREAM

I'm definitely not a computer person, so I have no idea as to what this is saying.

did you "test" the tracks with flac?

did you verify the ffp file?

you don't convert flac to shn. please provide more details about what you are doing or trying to do and with what program.

you can convert flac to wav to burn to an audio cd.

Err...there's no real reason to convert a FLAC to a shn. FLAC is actually a better format for many reasons.

But, since you did, just try using the search funtion in XP for the file names. They should be the same name as the original file, but with the .shn extension.

i converted my FLAC files correctly using FLAC frontend, it converted them into 24 bit sound. i can play these fine in winamp, but when i try to burn them in NERO, it wont let me, anyone know why?

It needs to be 16 bit for Nero to burn it.

24 bit audio cannot be burned to a CD. They're 16 bit/44.1 only. It should be an option in flac frontend to convert from FLAC > 16 bit, instead of 24? I don't use it, so I'm not sure.

Hello-

I downloaded the 2nd night Alpine show, it is my first time using FLAC instead of the always simple SHN. Anyway, when I try to decode using FLACFrontend I get an error message, "flac.exe not found." I downloaded the codec thing (now all the icons cool in black with the colored bars) but I still get the same error message. What's the deal??

Thanks in advance, first time missing in Alpine in about five years, I really would love to have the show to listen to at least!

I've been getting the same error. But I definitely have not verified the ffp file. How do I do that? Thanks.

put all the tracks in the flac front end and create a test ffp file and compare the files

Alright, I've read through all of this and I've tried to download everything but I still can't get it right. Here's what I've done:

I got the Tampa show on cd in FLAC format the other day. I downloaded the Flac Fronthead thing and when I add the files and try to test or decode/encode it say "No Flax exe." or something like that. Plus all these versions I download always come up as corrupted or something else and won't run. How do I get this show to work. I guess I'm trying to convert to WAV. Please help...
