These guys are great and like DMB, I've heard that they're very down-to-earth and that they treat their fans to some long shows.

Yes, I'm a fan! Zac actually used to be on a record label ran by my dad before he hit it big. He played most of the songs from the album acoustic for us at our house. Sadly for my dad and family the artist running the label was too focused on his dying career and didn't give Zac the attention he needed so he signed with a major label and a few months later was on his way to being a mega star

Of the songs that I've heard (Chicken Fried, Whatever It Is, Highway 20 Ride, Toes) I like them. I would still need to see them live to become a fan.

The few times I've listened to these guys, they sound very generic to me. Almost like O.A.R. Anybody else get that vibe?

Seeing them next week at the Hangout. They really fit the vibe of the festival, I'm very excited to see them. It seems like they like to bring other musicians on stage and just have a good time. I think they're going to put on one of the best shows of the festival.

Jolene is outstanding, but the credit for that really belongs to Ray Lamontagne. I didn't realize until I heard his version that ZBB's is actually a cover of the song he wrote.

It's great to see a band like them starting to make it big. I think they have a lot of similarities to DMB, in that they got to where they are just from loving music and playing hundreds of shows. They're also creatively named after their frontman

I think Zac was quoted in Rolling Stone a few months ago talking about how excited he was to see DMB performing at one of the festivals they were at. He said something along the lines of "Those guys are my heroes." Pretty sweet that he and his band will be opening up for them this summer.

They are the Dave Matthews Band of Country/Bluegrass.
