I really think FTWII was a great single. Probably the best since Grey Street.

I don't think Why I Am will be a good single. It's a good song, but I don't think your average 16 year old is going to get into a song with weird lyrics and heavy religious overtones.

My wife is not a DMB fan at all... but she LOVES Why I Am!!! First time she heard it she said "whoa, that's a great song!"

why i am may have more success as a single, while being a quality song, than anything since crush, but i think that both grace is gone and grey street were better. (im sure many would argue gig, but to me, i just dont like why i am that much). ultimately, i dont understand why grey street wasnt well received.

im sure it had soemthing to do with people feeling there should have been at least one more verse to the song and they just couldnt get into it with only 2 verses...like something was missing

crush, that was dmb at their biggest, to me. how else can you explain releasing a song like crush. its not a radio friendly type tune. long, very bluesy. not pop rock AT ALL. yet they got it out and it was HUGE on mtv. speaks to how big dmb was 10 years ago.

i think that makes it all the more exciting how to those of us following the band, to see them putting out such fantastic new material and playing at an unbelievably high level in concert, great time to be a fan and a great band to be a fan of...

Why I Am is absolutely full of hooks. Instrumental hooks, vocal hooks, all kinds of them. Like the best DMB material.

I've been trying to catch it every time it comes on the radio. I'd say it's like every 7 hours.
