Looking to get a good pair of headphones

tried on the new bose 35 QR35's the other day and dam you can't hear a thing from the outside once they're on. i know bose is overrated, but these sounded terrific. if you've got a 100$ gift card at best buy, what good wireless cans would you buy?

Bose's sound quality is mostly overrated on their Wave radios and their Lifestyle and Acoustimass systems, certainly they are a good consdieration for headphones where noise cancellation is paramount.

gotcha..good to know. so if had that budget - (before factoring in the $100 gift card), is there anything else you would recommend? i've been happy with my sennheinser cans, so i could go with them again, but not opposed to trying something new.

no, they aren't.

for mobile, bluetooth, high-end headphones with noise-cancellation ability (including the ability to turn that shit off), it's Bowers & Wilkins PX as the clear #1 choice.

second place would be the Denon AH-GC30.

third would be maybe the Audio Technica ATH-DSR9BT.

fourth i'd give to the Sennheiser Momentum Wireless.





a very distant last would be anything by Bose or Beats. i'm not even going to bother with model names as they are all crap.

Need some help. I'm taking the plunge and looking for a pair of wireless headphones. What's some peoples recommendations? Looking for a pair that for workouts and runs, outdoor running, etc. Thanks!

If you're using bluetooth, you've already conceded that sound quality isn't your #1 concern. As far as Bose goes, and I'm quick to rubbish them any chance I get for their awful Acoustimass and Lifestyle systems, even the well-regarded audiophile sites have positive to high praise for the QC line when noise cancellation is the primary driver for the purchase.

Do you have a price range? The wife and I have the Powerbeats3 for our long-distance running and have liked them. Decent sound (nothing special) but easy to use, good battery life, comfortable (and semi-adjustable), and durable with sweat/rain/cold/etc.

I was hesitant when I bought them because there were a lot of reviews on Amazon knocking the quality. I purchased the extra Square Trade warranty for full accidental damage and extended manufacture warranty, but we're nearly 2 years with them and no issues to date.

Outstanding, I'll look into them. Yeah, use for running is the biggest selling point for me.

IMO, the non pros sound like the wired version. I only use them for voice calls and stuff in the office. They don't stay in my ear for running.

If integration is the priority you can't do better than the Airpods. Some people will choose to sacrifice audio quality because of the ease of use and integration of Apple product.

While I've never had an issue, as unccrombie noted, some people experience fitting issues with the original version of the Airpods. The new ones have (marginally) improved audio and better ear fit due to the little silicone nubs they use to get a seal for the noise cancelling.

If audio quality is the priority than many reviews will point you towards the Sony's, although I've never tried them.

Currently there is no best of both worlds.

I have these headphones and like them. They have gone down in price since I bought them and are worth the money. I have had them for about a year
