The name "Bond 25 w/t Shatterhand" was revealed on an film industry weekly newsletter earlier this week. The name "Shatterhand" comes from an code-name used by series supervillain Ernst Stavro Blofeld in Ian Fleming's 1964 Bond novel You Only Live Twice.

I believe this film has supposedly had a few working titles. The working titles I've read are Bond 25, Eclipse and Shatterhand. I check the bond forum daily for any snippet of news for a title reveal. I'm under the impression the title ties into Rami Maleks villain name. Rami's character name hasn't been revealed and neither has the title of the film. Coincidence? I guess we'll find out sometime.

A few days ago another supposed title was revealed, A Reason to Die. Not sure if its a new working title or not. It may have been a title thrown around. Still no word yet when the title will be revealed.

Check up to post #35. Theres some shots in there from Jamaica. I'll check on the Bond forum. Someone on there was talking what colors were being used for the area Bond is in i.e. Jamaica, Norway, London.

I completely forgot about Live And Let Die, so badass. I saw McCartney do it live in Seattle, and they had footage of a model of parliament being blown up and giant jet engines belching flame in the air, then they projected stuff onto the big cloud of smoke that hung in the air, then at the end, released doves. Truly Epic.

Supposedly there's a press conference on July 12th. A person on the Bond forum translated one line of the article that says:

I guess this is the best place to post this since someone else said Idris Elba earlier in the thread. I have to say, I don't think he should be Bond. For me, it's an age thing, definitely not a race thing at all. Dude is unbelievably talented and definitely good looking, I don't question that he would kill the role, he would have been awesome at it. If they wanted to go that way though they should have hired him on in 2005 when he was an appropriate age to be Bond for a reboot.

Now though, he is too old to start. He turns 47 in September. Craig just turned 51 in March. Taking on a guy only 4 years younger than Craig doesn't make any sense. Craig has now held the role for 14 years and only done 4 movies (5 in 2020). So, one Bond film every 3 years. That means the next Bond film would be in late 2023. That would make Idris Elba 50 years old before the first film even came out. That doesn't make any sense for a reboot. If he agreed to 4 movies he would be doing his last film around age 62. Roger Moore held the role wayyy too long and looked awful in A View To A Kill. Even he later admitted how awful and awkward it was to be 58 and kissing 22 year old models. 50 is just too old to start the role and I hate to say that because in some ways I'd love to see what Elba could do with it.
