I was very worried about traffic getting out. After Come On Come On, I thought there would be a PNP Rapunzel encore so I was ready to bolt instantly. After Pig I thought Grey Street was next but nope. In my mind, I said ok I’ll just get screwed on this traffic then. No way in hell I am missing Watchtower... plus the Stairway jam was just icing on the cake. The second Watchtower finished I flat out sprinted from my seat all the way to the car trying to beat some of it out of there. I was on 85 within minutes. In Columbia within 70-75 minutes of touching the car door handle. I had another 2.5 to go after that to Statesboro but it was well worth it. Literally zero traffic leaving, but that was luck I guess.

With the rain just before show time and no JTR, plus the JTR tease in 2013... I think I’ll never see it now.

Feeling the same way. Now getting a bit of FOMO with WPB since they have a decent chance of catching it.

Same here did pit once at citi field now I prefer seats even though i rarely sit.

I was 5 people deep, center in of the pit and the people were generally real cool. There were two ass hats (the dude head banging to Ants whose gf was the one drinking the strawberry ritas almost got thrown out and then the one guy in the Yankees hat who tried to cut in front with his whole crew midshow). The energy from the band was incredible, a fantastic show for me even though they didn't play any of my top 5 faves.

Pit was cool from middle to back.

I’ve also got to echo others... they have to get a fiddle in there. Too much of the catalog of songs depends on the fiddle/violin.

Great show. Proud that Crown Town always brings it. Crowd seemed way late arriving, but was full on when things got going.

I commented on it when they played LIOG. The new dude on keyboard cannot replace the strings.

I hope someone, somewhere gets this and does something about it. Sounds like it wasn't just our show. I'm really surprised an adjustment didn't happen during the show. I know that place doesn't have the best acoustics, but it's not so bad that they can't make the whole band heard clearly throughout the seating area.

Y'all it's been 48 hours now and I still can't get over how fucking good that show was. YMDT AND Typical AND an Ants that was excellent despite now Boyd? SHIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTT it was a great night. Hope y'all will cherish the memory for a long time too

I won't be surprised if there weren't any. I sure didn't see any. there's normally guys near me, even if they're forced to lower their mics.

Pretty sure i saw a mic going up before the show on the left side of the stage in the first row of seats. I didn't watch it though after the show started.

Agreed 100% - definitely miss seeing / hearing Boyd jam out with the band. Still thought the band have a ton of energy though. Good times still all around.

Just some fun here.

Charlotte show is currently #2 on rarity for this tour according to DMB Almanac. We were number 1 until Orange Beach.

But on Ants.. we're 19 out of 38.

Rarity does not equal best by any means, but if you're looking at a metric when it comes to setlist diversity.. to get anywhere near the top on rarity on either platform is pretty great. Not necessarily the sign of a great show, but it's a good indicator. I only got to one show a year nowadays, so rarity when it comes to a particular tour doesn't mean a whole lot to me. It's more about me hearing songs I like... but I thought we got a great set, overall, even before I saw this.

No, it didn’t change until after Orange Beach. My guess is.. they played something there that tipped the scale. Something we were getting credit for, became less rare after that show.

in spite of couch tour opinions (funny how people condemn something without actually being there), this show was amazingly fun, full of energy, and a clear sign that the band is reinvigorated and looking toward the future.
I do kind of hope they get a violin player to appear in certain songs in the coming years, as I think it would be welcomed, but I did not miss it as much as I might have thought I would.
The enthusiasm of the band more than made up for it.

Yeah... the bands digging it. That’s great. But any energy they had dis not feel like it translated very well. LIOG was a shadow of its former self. Even Everyday felt like it dragged more than it should. As good as buddy is, they’re all catering to him when they should be having the horns take the lead. Typical was the only song I can say really stood out.

Woooopsy…. I guess I misread the taper's PM. He said he taped the "PNC-show", obviously meaning PNC Bank Arts Center @ Holmdel (which, btw, is up now at dreamingtree) and NOT PNC Music Pavilion @ Charlotte.
