The wharf has posted that they are wanting people to bring in belongings in clear bags for safely. Because that’s important. I was at the knife show.

So the tracked timing has slowed by roughly 5 hours since late morning, which is surely a factor in the venue/DMB still being a go at this point. FWIW, I have a friend who works in management at the Wharf and can say without a doubt they’re a responsible, mindful operation that will make the best call on their end in conjunction with DMB. The Wharf has canceled and rescheduled shows before and won’t hesitate to make that push if they feel it’s needed. Still sucks to not know at this time, and I hate it for out of town folks. In this area we deal with this at least a few times each hurricane season, even when we get nothing. Last year we were expecting a cat 3 to hit us directly two days out and it ended up being a cat 1 a couple hours west.

Think about all the electrical equipment that will be on the stage. And the rain will for sure cover the band perhaps sans carter. The covering is not very sufficient

It’s not a “shed” which is why I think they’d be more inclined to reschedule, but the Wharf has also held a number of concerts in the rain. City of Orange Beach apparently sent an email late afternoon saying it’ll be decided tomorrow.

News just showed they’re evacuating Gulf Shores as it’s going to be upgraded to a tropical storm.

Here at the beach now. Nice weather but definitely wind and rain coming tomorrow. Too bad they couldn't have had the show last night, but understand the logistical problems that would have brought. Hopefully we get it in tomorrow.

I got the day off of work and this would be epic if I could do a spur of the moment DMB show. I hope they give us something soon. No news is good news, but they could wait until doors open tomorrow and then cancel the damn show.

WEATHER UPDATE: Dave Matthews Band concert is set to take place tomorrow night as regularly scheduled.

The team at The Wharf is in regular communication with the National Weather Service. After our weather briefing this morning, we learned that the storm stalled slightly last night near Cuba and the forecast is still unpredictable.

Please stay tuned for more updates on The Wharf website, social media outlets or mobile smartphone app.

This is crazy.. They are going to wait until the last minute to cancel the show.

I still dont see how they can actually have this show. I don't believe the NWS is actually telling them " it's ok, no problem. Proceed"

I have been blowing them up on FB. Very negligent. I can almost certainly say the show will end up being cancelled for liability reasons but waiting until the last minute to make the call is what really pisses me off. I wish RLM would step in at this point.

The storm is still moving and changing. It might be very safe for the show to go on tomorrow. Canceling it now doesn’t make any sense. I do think they should announce a 5pm start time though.

If they end up cancelling the show at the last minute, that would be so fucked up. Why take a chance? I may wait until the morning to decide to make the trip.
