He is a billionaire, unless he was truly involved in the human trafficking part this was never going to be more than a mildly embarrassing blip on his radar. Hell, even if he was the kingpin of the trafficking ring it would be tough for his to lose in a serious way in court with all his money and influence.

The only thing he did that’s super dumb is not paying for anonymity from the start.
