Frontier airlines used to fly from Milwaukee to Philly, and the flights were pretty cheap - I just looked at them earlier this summer because my cousin and I were thinking about coming out for the Brewers series.

Looks like they no longer fly to Philly.

So Sunday night was up the cottage and we were coming back from dinner when I noticed I had a headache mainly just on the right side of my head- kinda figured it was just the weather. It was humid and felt like it could rain. Felt my head and on the back of my head I had a noticeable bump on it. Thought maybe I was drunk and hit my head or got bit by something since I was romping on the beach. Got home and had my aunt look at it- hoping it wasn't a tick. She said it kinda looked like an ingrown hair. So she expressed it but nothing came out. So clean it and left it be. Well stayed up and played cards. Well the pain got progressively worse and my head killed. slept like crap. Woke up and noticed it didn't go down as far as swelling and had her look at it again and she said it was flaky so something must have been draining. She expressed it again and yellow, smelly yuck came out of it. Cleaned it. And left it be. So now it's been a constant headache, basically my whole right side from my eye to my neck hurts. And I illicit more pain when I touch my scalp or near the bump.

So, urgent care basically said there's nothing we can do. He thinks the bump is probably pressing on my occipital nerve which is why I have so much pain. But don't know how it started. Probably popped the infection when we expressed it and let him "its so small there is nothing to drain"

Basically, leave it alone and gave me stupid ass ultram which doesn't do shit and another toradol shot.

I LOVE how our society fucked over those of us who don't abuse the system and aiding in the idea that people coming in are drug seeking. Which I'm not, however I am goddamn tired of this pain.

school fucking sucks, between some personal stuff and class I feel like I'm a 1000lbs heavier all the time. really questioning if i have what it takes. im always stressed out but this year has taken it to another level

at this rate idk craig. tired of always coming up short, studied my ass off for this exam and the one thing i spent the least time on was 33% of the exam. at least everyone was shocked this time. i always hated when people say that school doesnt define you, it's literally defined me my entire life, I've been nothing but grades and test scores to all these admissions committees, professors, etc. my identity is nearly entirely tied to school. i wasted college and now I'm about to waste my entire 20s. Can't wait to finally have a real job at 30 with my 300k debt. oh well, probably just a case of the grass is greener. ill get over myself /rant

Thanks craig, it feels good to vent. I especially feel like a twat since I'm in a position that thousands of other people want to be in, I try to not be ungrateful but sometimes I get so beat down

I think that's a con of going to school so long and sometimes it's easy to lose sight of the light at the end of the tunnel. Doesn't help that it effects literally aspect of your life. And unfortunately you'll be one of the Joe Shamoes unless you excel or significantly noticed for something you do for your work. A lot of BS to put up with more BS and for what?

I thankfully talked my cousin out of it. Her mom wanted her to be one, and she was definitely looking into DO school. Truly invest a lot for a whole lot of ... nothing.

What do you want to specialize in?

I think at the rate healthcare work is going the only thing I'd ever want to be is an anesthesiologist who are one of the, is not the, highest paid. Maybe derm but I dunno about that lol.

I'm thinking psych or infectious disease. I'm passionate about mental health issues and working on things like the Zika outbreak or Ebola would be awesome.

From what I understand anesthesia is in a weird place. They still get paid a ton since they are bringing people to the brink of death but it's becoming fairly non competitive as crnas are phasing them out more and more, of course the anesthesia attending will always be a doc
