Charlottesville/UVA Information(DMBc)

Hey guys, long time member, not a frequent poster..just enjoy reading what you guys have to say..

Anyway, I'm going down to charlottesville for the Pitt/UVA game was wondering if anyone familiar with the area can help me out. I was just wondering how far the campus was from the actual stadium, and how far both of those are from downtown Charlottesville. If I get a chance tomorrow afternoon or Sunday at any point, I would love to go downtown and maybe check out any DMB landmarks that would still be up. Any recommendations or information would be great. Thanks guys..and enjoy that new(old) warehouse intro...i love it

Everything is very close to everything....C-ville is a pretty small area...you want to go to "the Mall" to see Millers it's a nice little area with shops and bars along a cobblestone pedestrian road

The stadium is on campus, and downtown is right there. C'ville is a really cool little town. It's just a shame that it has UVa in it

Any particular place you guys would recommend to go out to after the game? And what is "The Mall" and is Millers in there? Thanks for the help guys..and don't worry Dan...the Bostick era in Pitt football is beginning and Virginia is going to be the first victim.

The Mall is where Miller's is I'm not sure how to get there exactly I just sorta feel my way there...if you are at the stadium and go towards the hospital on emmett st it is past that...I think that is a way to get there bt just ask a local yocal they'll point you in the right direction...just ask them before Pitt whoops them

Here is a site I found before last years C-ville shows.

    Website:
    http://www.charlottesville.org/Index.aspx?page=5

    Map of Downtown:
    http://www.pursuecharlottesville.com...apdowntown.pdf

Millers: Scroll down the list on left side to the "Dining" section.
    http://www.discoverymap.com/content/view/320/469/

Hope this helps, its a fun town.

From the stadium, you can either take Emmet St. (turn right on University) or Jefferson Park Avenue (it merges onto Main) and you'll end up on Main St. Once Main intersects with Ridge you can stay straight and it will turn in Water St. The Downtown Mall starts around 2nd Street; get out walk around, it's going to be a beautiful day here tomorrow. Tip one back at Miller's, and when you leave, check out the pink warehouse, it's a block over on South Street. Enjoy your time, C'ville is a great town.
