Re: 2017-18 NFL Season Thread

Not saying the eagles are going to go all that far--had them pegged for 9-10 wins this year-- but the way the NFC is sorting out, if the Eagles win tomorrow night they pretty much write their own story at this point

Yup. And the one to gronk was really cool too.
It was an easy 8 yard out but it looked awesome.

Cooks one was the best cause it
looked like he turned his head around right before he caught it. Tb12

oh man we hated when he was hired. it was the blandest hiring in NFL history. Almost blatantly trying tooooooo hard to go back in time, hiring not just a Reid disciple but a guy nobody thought was ready.

He was up and down year 1 and had some mindboggling answers in press conferences, and hes had some rough patches this year (13 rushes vs the chiefs, no touches for Blount), bit I have to give it to him. He did something Reid didnt do in his last 6 years or so in Philly- he adjusted. As soon as they started running the ball, Carson Wentz started looking like a pro bowler. Hopefully Doug doesn't think he's great enough to do whatever he wants, hopefully he keeps running the ball

is there a reason why the ram's horns are white on their helmets now? the horns are still gold on the logo on the sleeves. It just looks dumb. Has it been like this only since they moved to LA?

That's how their unis were FOREVER ago. They came back to them now for some dumb reason. At least they match this week.

Just a glace at your schedule you have Dallas twice, LAR, Seattle and Chi as really the only teams that could hang them up. Defensively speaking Sea and Chi could get after them; Dallas shouldn't really be anything to write home about unless for some reason Philly stops playing run D. Definitely see yal in double digit wins this year which was wayyy off from my preseason predictions.

Ryan usually struggles with a new OC. They'll work out the kinks. Still have tons of talent. I'm glad he's gone.

I live out of market for my favorite team, Chiefs, and don't have Sunday ticket. I usually just have whatever game is on in the background while doing things around the house and entertaining the kids. But unlike baseball, where I only have a desire to watch the Royals, I can watch just about any football game that's on. Goes for college, NFL and also NCAA basketball.

It would be advantageous for the Falcons to use their talent, get the ball to their talent

He's a bum and a drunk! He took charge of one of the greatest offenses in history, a team that didn't lose any talent and now the offense is sucks! Throw it to Julio! Don't run reverses on the 1 yard line! WTF is he doing! Somehow we are only 1 game out in the division!

The idea of sitting down and watching an MLB regular season games on a sunny summer afternoon for 4+ hours is just something that would never occur to me, not only are there endless things I would rather do but I wouldn't enjoy sitting still and watching for that long in itself. NFL football works the same way for me. I guess I could say that I watch parts of different games when it comes to college football.

I disagree. Is there a hangover? Maybe a little, but look back to 2015. They struggled in Shannahan's first year then almost won a Super Bowl the next year. I think Quinn is a solid HC. How he handles this year will be key I'm not ignoring that. Also a new DC gotta take that into account. Young defense too.

I'm not panicking yet, the schedule isn't THAT bad. Not buying anyone in the NFC South. They have plenty of time to turn it around. Will they? Only time will tell.

I'm not panicking but if the play calling doesn't immediately change we aren't going to win. We need to dig up last year's playbook and just use that. Sark clearly doesn't know what he's doing. He is 90% of the problem.

I would be panicked, Quinn is a terrible HC, Falcons are going to be irrelevant for a long time if the coaching stays the same. There are a lot of bad teams in the NFL and I'm sure the NFC South, that doesn't mean the Falcons are a good team.
