My friend and I will be at the shows and she wanted to see Red Rocks so I did some checking. On show days RR is accessible till 2pm. The 25,26 they are closed due to the all day Reggae Fest. They also open an hour before sunrise so you can catch it. We are going to RR for sunrise on the 24th. Enjoy.

Several times during the summer, they have a pre-sunrise Yoga session at RR. I found this out last year when my friend & I went there for a Jerry Garcia birthday show. Unfortunately it was the morning after the show, and we had not intention of getting up before 5 AM to do it, but it sounds like fun.

So my wife and I will be in town Wednesday to Monday and I plan on renting a car on Thursday, leaving in the AM from our Airbnb right next to the venue, and taking a trip to red rocks and maybe the mountains after, just wondering if anyone else is interested!

FYI: RR will close to the public at 2pm because they have shows booked. I'm guessing it will closed totally on the 25/26 because of the all day reggae fest. My friend and I are going to RR on 24th to see the sunrise, cant pass that up. Have fun.

So I have reserved tickets for both nights, in the 200's I'm looking to see if anyone has Pitts they are going to be wanting to part with, Probably would just sell mine at the venue and would meet up with anyone that had seats they are looking to get rid of. Obviously I know there is a lot of time left but just trying to upgrade our seats. Coming from Buffalo so can meet up with anyone when we get in on Wednesday morning.

I really really hope that because we are the first shows of the final leg of the tour and the band will get almost a month off, we are going to get a hall of a two night stand. We are the warm-up weekend for The Gorge.

Really just hoping for Drive In, Drive Out and maybe a couple other off the wall ones I've been chasing like So Much To Say.

On the Fiddlers site it says tailgating is NOT permitted. How anal are they about this? I've seen a few people mention the "RTD" lot to tailgate. What is RTD? Thanks

Maybe it's the Kansas Citian in me but when I read that on *every* venue's website I take it to mean they don't want you setting up grills and cooking brats, ribs, burgers, etc. These venues that have that on their website, I can't say that I've ever had staff or security come by and tell me that I can't eat my sandwich from Jason's Deli or wherever and to pour out my beer.

So to answer your question - I would assume you're fine having a few cocktails in or around your car. Just leave your Weber at home.

also, rtd is the commuter (park-n-ride) lot across the highway - regional transportation district - they run the lightrail, bus, etc. around the city.

There aren't huge lots like you'd see at a traditional amphitheater. It's in the middle of an office district (so they don't want people loitering, littering and peeing everywhere) and the parking seemed sparse.

My buddy who lives down the street said there was just no point in even trying (to either park or tailgate by the venue), so we just hung around in his backyard until it was time to roll, then parked in the RTD and walked over.

I'm staying at the Wingate by Wyndham Greenwood Village/Denver Tech that seems really close, so i'll be room drinking and maybe hit up a bar in the area. Hopefully a dispensery close by? i get in that day from OKC (driving) so i dont know if i'll be able to go far before the show starts.

Likewise, sort of. We're at the Doubletree so I'll be enjoying some of Colorado's finest craft brews out of my growler whilst puffing on a tasty stogie. Walk over about 30 min prior to showtime.

They discourage tailgating but it happens. I tailgate all the time at fiddlers and never have had a problem. Just don’t be a drunken fool in the lot you are in and you will be fine. Like existence said they don’t want people pissing in front of a business. There is no restrooms around so you have to be strategic where you pee. Heck I have even brought my Smokey Weber several times and have had no issues. Again they are looking for the people being fools. I always tailgate in an office lot. Just be smart.

The venue is nothing special, in the smack middle of a business park, and has an 11 curfew. That being said the shows here last time where a blast. Great energy from the crowd and DMB really seemed to enjoy playing at the venue.

The tickets for both these shows sold out fast. Besides secondary market I have not seen many extra tickets come up for these shows. I would think like any show the closer it gets people will dump tickets but I would be pretty diligent about looking to scoop them up.

You can stay downtown or close to venue totally up to you. You can take the light rail from downtown straight to the venue. Just be aware the rail will be packed after the show. But if you want to experience downtown you can certainly stay downtown. Or stay close to the venue and take a day on the light rail to go downtown.

I wonder how they'd feel about those personal pop-up "relief stations". Last year at one of the Chiefs games we made our own by hanging a couple of tarps from some PVC pipe. Better than going between cars with the front door open right?

Re: tailgating - I was at both shows went they came to fiddlers in 2015 and parked in an office parking structure right across from the will call booth (only since that’s where my husband works and it was free parking &#128521. They didn’t even let us stand outside of the car with drinks only 🙄. So we had to sit in the car. Only been to a few other shows there (not dmb) and didn’t notice much patrolling.

Also still need 2 tickets. Hoping for lowers. Although my husband isn’t even a fan so I should just get 1, make friends, and save some money 🤣🤣
