How there isn't any known video of red rocks 95 is crazy to me

This brought tears to my eyes when I first heard it back when. It's still in regular rotation. I love how you can hear them talking to each other between tracks, i.e."you wanna play stream?" and "A little lower" during Granny.

Good, good stuff. Doesn't get any better, IMO.

Crazy to think about how influential this album was to me and how much it changed my musical taste/direction when I was only 12 or 13 years old. Radio City and my first few band shows solidified my fandom in 05/07 but my brother buying me the blue and yellow disc for Christmas in 01 or 02 started everything for me. Still hard to find a better catalogue of songs that can be stripped down to two acoustic and a voice and filled out with the full band. Such an important album.

I was like a breath of fresh air initially after listening the band intensely for four years. Hearing those songs in a new way, getting a taste of the D&T thing that we'd heard about, but hadn't heard.

As a would-have-been musician at the time, it was inspirational/aspirational. Tim was like John McLaughlin who I was obsessed with at the time, but playing in the context of great vocal songs. Then his use of delay and volume pedals with slide on an acoustic was crazy. Absolutely great stuff.

That said, I always prefer the interaction of the full band, especially Dave, Roi, Carter, and Fonz...that shit is magical.
