I worked in a call center for 1.5 years a few years back. The absolute worst experience of my life. Never thought a turnover rate that high could exist.

We got two 10 minute breaks a day and a half hour lunch, calls were nonstop, and we got monitored on quality weekly and got reprimanded if we went over the 10 minute mark on our breaks. And somehow there were ladies that had been working there for 15+ years.

I'm not a parent and know what elf on the shelf is. It's a little elf you put in different parts of your house to get your kids to behave during the holiday season. All the Childs behavior is watched by the elf and at night the elf reports back to Santa an arrives back at the house the next morning sitting in a different spot.

I understand the meme, but I don't fully understand elf on the shelf either. My work does it around Christmas time. You're supposed to move it in a different spot each day or something. I don't get it, but people seem to enjoy it.
