This really is the the trap dems can't help but fall into. Someone on the right, usually trump, makes an outlandish claim that is easy to disprove. The right eats it up, the left disproves it, and then the right melts because of the left's "obsession"

the rest of it is anecdotal. Just because the Cherokee Nation is offended and doesn't want her, doesn't mean she doesn't have a Native American in her ancestry. I honestly can't blame them from wanting to distance themselves- the last thing they want is a white woman or man claiming 1/32 heritage and initiating association with their tribe. They likely see the possibility of other white people doing the same and eventually phasing the tribe out.

Her DNA test was recent. She started telling people of her ancestry in the 90s. Your timelines don’t match up.

She was born right where Cherokee lived so when asked which tribe she said them. She always maintained she was not part of the nation.

Why are we still talking about warren? IMO it is not that big of a story because it changes nothing. Appears like most dems do not want her to run and most cons think she is too far left to be taken seriously. No one is going to change their opinion of her just because a DNA result was provided. Hell, my paternal great grandmother was a Titanic survivor, not like I can whistle up Cunard Line and demand some sort of compensation. My maternal grandfather was US Navy UDT clearing mines and lanes prior to D-Day and other invasions in the PTO - when he got home he had major PTSD and walked out on my mom and her 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Neither is really relevant to who I am today and neither could get me any fame or fortune so in the end those things mean not much more than family stories to talk about when we get together. Just like warren being proved correct does not change a single thing about who SHE is.

It was a slow news day, that's why this is being discussed. Don't worry, it'll pass in a few hours/days. Just like every other story. Manafort pleading guilty and flipping, Trump family tax fraud, Kavanaugh, etc.

Just give it a few days, and all the stories go away.

The midterms and elections going forward are going to end up being a game of who can score the worst story about the opposition on the Monday before the vote.

Good point and true as hell. Personally I would prefer to discuss what the saudi's did, or rather what almost everyone thinks they did. We can talk about the new caravan of people coming through mexico trying to get into the US. We can talk about the idea that drug companies should have to put a price on medication ads. Personally, I would like to discuss something I believe Lee brought up yesterday, no knock raids because I am torn on that issue. There is so much more going on that is far more interesting than the ancestry of a senator.

Why does it matter what kind of art a President has in the White House. In defense of trump people are clinging at straws with this one. Trump did not ask for that to be made, he did not pay for it - it was a gift from a supporter that he liked and displayed. Another who gives a damn story IMO.
