no way, he occupies the exact same spaces Embiid does

i think Indiana would be smart to get him though, but if Philadelphia no way i’m accepting less than two of Turner, Brogdon, and Levert

on top of this from Carlisle’s point of view i don’t think any other openings would be a good fit other than the “inevitable but maybe not” opening in Milwaukee

Kidd to the Mavs would be something. I just don't think I'd want my team coached by him, but the players seem to like him so Luka will probably like that

i think Doncic already identified his preference in Mosley

Kidd makes sense too as long as they plan on placating and not winning lol

Carlisle seemed like the guy for the Bucks if they didn't get by Brooklyn or Atlanta.

I know Woj reported that beating the Nets somehow means Bud is safe, but if they lose to the Hawks I can't see that being the case. Not sure where I'd even begin the search. I 'd probably lean away from any re-treads unless I was looking at someone like Kenny Atkinson. I'd take a shot at Sam Cassell, though. Always seemed like a heady player with high IQ.

Yea if Cuban still wants Luka in a Mavs jersey in 5 years, he has to get the GM and coach calls right. The light is on Cuban now and there’s no more question that he is every bit like Jerry Jones (my way or the highway sense). So not only is “keeping Luka” riding on these decisions, Cuban could be the next Fertitta. Not a place that any franchise should be in.

I still think Finley gets GM and Mosley gets HC. Mark’s happy because he retains the influence. Luka’s happy because he gets his coach. Mavs win not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4...championships.

yep 100% agree, and i think those will be the hires too. Cuban is in hot water in my eyes

i think Budenholzer has nearly maximized Antetokuonmpo as far as putting him in the places where he’s capable to excel

but the only coach that can bring him one step higher with this supporting cast...might be D’antoni...i’m talking 5 out nobody get in the way Morey special

Eh, maybe. My problem with D'Antoni is his complete disregard for the other end of the floor.

well yeah lol but he always has some type of defensive coordinator with him now. Bzdelik is gone but those Houston teams were good

my friend pointed out that all this Budenholzer stuff is the EXACT stuff i was criticizing Popovich for in 2010-2013. horrible rotations, late adjustments, stupid coverages. everyone thought i was crazy. ahead of my time i guess lmao but look who he learned from for 17 years

His rotations are a product of the roster, though, to be honest. It's just not sustainable to play six guys over the course of seven games.

    Re: D'Antoni

I appreciate his ingenuity and he's certainly a great offensive mind, I just don't know that he's much of a change from Bud given that his offensive are predicated on pace, which is what Bud has relied on for three seasons now. That and he's another guy who has struggled to make adjustments when it matters his entire career.

MacMahon and Woj both said the soon to be GM without saying his name. It won't be but it'd be hilarious if it was haralabob

I would rather Cuban pull a Jerry Jones and name himself the GM than hire Haralabob as GM.

Got to give the guys a chance but I think it’s Nico and Kidd are mistakes. Time will tell I guess...Cuban should have called San Antonio ownership and asked whether it’s worth it to cater the team to the superstar.

Switched over to TBS to watch Conan’s last show. What the hell is “The Cube”? And why is Dwayne Wade on it? . He shouldn’t be hurting for money.

yes Phoenix defense has been okay but the Clippers again withholding their best five

though gotta admit the big lineup has been okay defensively for the Clippers (helps that it’s no longer involving Cousins)

Rondo/Kennard together...again...just wow. these rotations finally catching up to Lue
