Got Refugee opener like Seattle then the artists took turns down the line doing their songs. Got:

My Antonia (Dave guests with Emmylou Harris)
Mercy
Bartender
Sister
Samauri Cop
Angel from Montgomery (everybody)

Each artist had one less song because they added Brandi Carlile. She was great, however it meant one less Dave solo song.

How was the crowd? Was it obviously a very pro-DM audience?

Definitely louder for his first song with Emmylou, but then it seemed everyone got pretty equal applause, etc. Aside from a few random obnoxiously loud song request shouts, the crowd showed love to everyone, and I didn't hear any chatter during songs.

This Samurai Cop is unreal. His voice is spot-on.

Did you that lady yelling "play Sister!" While Dave was trying to tell a story? Good grief, I was embarrassed for her.

If dmb can cover Petty again next summer, would love to see them do:

    1) Refugee
    2) American Girl
    3) Won't Back Down

Really liked Dave's vocals in the chorus for Refugee. Would be interesting to hear a full band cover if Butch was back on keys next year playing some of Benmont's parts.

Also, Dave's voice in an acoustic setting is where he belongs. Hearing this, and comparing it to the live stream from last week, it sounds like two different singers, and thats not a good thing

Checked out the videos from this show last night, couldn't agree more. It's surprising to me how off track Dave gets when singing with the band considering his experience.
