    They were great in '05 - IMO they put on a better show than Lettuce. The little guy didn't do it for me at all.

    It's got to be over the next few days. I don't ever remember requesting tickets without already knowing the openers (although maybe that says more about my memory than it does about when the openers are usually announced... ).

    i always thought all of the openers were announced with the dates. i cant remember openers ever having their own announcement(s).

    Thoughts on what Shoreline could be getting?? It seems random that Gary Clark didn't stick around for the extra show...i'm guessing conflicts, but who would they pick up for a 1 off??

    Pretty excited about seeing Vintage Trouble and North Mississippi Allstars. I'm not too excited about John Butler Trio in Orange Beach. I've seen them several times and moved on from them. May just have some extra lot time at that show.

    i saw them open last year. i went in to it thinking they were going to suck, but they are very talented and put on a good show. not really my type of music, but they were still very entertaining.

    i was very surprised to see that, and that its for my hometown show. i dont think they've ever really hit the scranton market before (if they have its been a long time), so this would be a good opportunity for them.

    Not too familiar with Grace Potter, but I'd definitely agree that the bigger openers usually only do one/two shows at the most, obviously due to the fact that they have their own summer tour dates where they are headlining.

    I think that's why we see O.A.R. only doing 1 night in Cincy, and the same with moe only having 2 nights.

    I respect your enthusiasm for Allen Stone and obviously the talent is there, but O.A.R. has had a long time relationship with the band having shared the bill with them on many of past tours before, so it kind of makes sense.

    Another thing to keep in mind is that they also have Coran Capshaw as mgmt much like DMB, and that they are helping the YK show again not only as full band openers but with 2 of their members playing onstage with YK.

    It's only 1 show anyway, as they have their own headlining tour to do. If you weren't planning to go to that one show in Cincinnati then it really shouldn't affect you too much

    Hope you get to see the opening acts that you enjoy.

    I don't mind it at all either, although I've never seen them or anything. To me it's just another funky opener, regardless of age etc.

    I'll admit they could have done better, but they could have done a lot worse too.

    I actually saw Kool & the Gang open up for Van Halen last year and they weren't half bad, surprisingly. Definitely got the crowd up and moving.
