No I wasn't thinking.

Grimm would obviously be back with Montgomery the long man in a pinch, and Lackey sitting on the bench in case of a DL stint for a starter.

Cool of the Cubs to give Bartman a WS ring.

Brutal game today. I know there were a few rain delays but the bullpen needs to step up in late innings.

I knew Contreras was gonna be good when he homered on the first pitch of his first at-bat in the majors.

Brewers are still hanging around, I don't like it. I'm really not threatened by them but there's no reason we shouldn't be like 10 games up right now. Just a roller coaster season. I hope they get the .500 ball/ slumpage outta the way now and get hot for the final stretch and playoffs though rather than vice versa. This team is still super talented, just need all the gears to work together at the right time.

Seems like Arrieta and Hendricks are re-finding themselves and Lackey has actually pitched great since the All-star break. Hope this keeps up and Lester just stays the same. Bullpen still worries me sometimes. I don't like Strop or Rondon. I only trust CJ stringbean and Davis. Duensing has some nasty stuff too. Wish we coulda got Andrew Miller. I miss guys like Travis Wood and Warren too right about now. Is Montgomery back in the pen yet?

Nvm it wasn't the 16-4 game Cubs won that one, was drunk. But there was a game a week or two ago the Cubs pen came in a close game they were winning and gave up like 7 runs.

Injuries and the team kind of blowing in the first half kinda ruined this, but Heyward has been pretty good this year.

    That was a fun weekend.

I honestly have no idea what my starting lineup would be against a right hander in the playoffs, now that Addi is back and looks good. Is there a possibility that Schwarber and Happ are both on the bench?

This home plate ump has been terrible all night.

Getting the Brewer tv crew on the national broadcast. Have been one of the least annoying opposite broadcast teams I've ever listened to. No whining about Brewer bad breaks, I like them.

    Brian and Bill are awesome.

What a great game last night. Wish the Brewers were on the other end of it, but this series is going to be fun.

Another outstanding game going on now. I really think I'd prefer the Brewers get in over Colorado. Rockies play us well and I have nightmares about some of our pitchers throwing at Coors.

He’s probably just jealous that Nacho Guy has a better move to first than he does.

Pretty cool hype video recapping the regular season:
    http://wgntv.com/2017/10/02/epic-cub...it-til-friday/

What would everyones lineup be in game 1? Sounds like Hendricks will be pitching Game 1 with Lester Game 2, but not yet confirmed. I think I'd go with this, but hard to believe Shwarber and Happ would both be on the bench:

    1) Jay CF
    2) Bryant 3B
    3) Rizzo 1B
    4) Contreras C
    5) Zo LF
    6) Russell SS
    7) Heyward RF
    8) Baez 2b
    9) Pitcher

I could also see Heyward in CF to start the game and Shwarber in LF with Almora or Jay coming in late for defense in CF.

Man, what a performance by Kyle. He is the guy you want to pitch in a big game. Hopefully Lester can put together another good outing tonight. Gio is good, but I think the Cubs hitters have a better shot against him than Strasburg.
