But if some of you pro's could help a beginner out and point me to the right threads or just help with some simple stuff like
~what is the best torrent downloader?
~how to you convert from what ever that is to something I can put on a drive and download into iTunes?
~how do you tell how good the recordings are going to be. the one I was able to download and play through vlc was almost to staticy to hear.
Thanks for any help you might offer....I gotta get started.

No one's gonna jump your shit for asking for help in the help section, and if they do, they won't be here long.
As to your bullet questions, here are my thoughts:
1. Vuze works fine, but if you don't like that one, try uTorrent.
2. First off, have you actually downloaded the show using the torrent program, or just the .tor file that downloads when you click the link here on Ants? If the former, you'll need to open that up with your torrent program and that will get the show going. If the latter, and you're talking about converting the .flac files to .mp3 so you can put them on your phone or something, Traders Little Helper will take care of that for you. It's free, and there are no limits.
3. No real way to know what recording you're going to prefer without listening to it. You can have your torrent program just download one song instead of a whole show to sample if you want to try out several sources without downloading the whole show for each one.
If any of that isn't clear, or you need more help, let me know and I can walk you through it. There's also a video embedded in every torrent thread that shows the steps.
