I don't understand why people say Florida isn't in the South??? It's like geographically the most southern thing in the continental US. To say it's not in the South makes noooooo sense.

I lived in CT for a short time, but I didn't spend enough time there to get a good feel for all those states. Never made it RI.

I'd kill for a new album and heard one was on the way, but haven't heard anything about it for a while.

I've lived in South Florida and North Florida (when I was in school)...NF is definitely engrained in the Southern culture (terrible race relations and intolerance).........South Florida is not normally considered to be in the South because people associate the South with intolerance, an evil history, and hospitality (only to whites people that pray and think like they do) rather than "south" denoting geographic location....This is not at all characteristic of the area. Little Havana, Little Haiti, Large number of Jews in Miami, etc. South Florida is like a northeast suburb without the kindess and sense of community lol

A buddy of mine that lives in Florida said the more north you go the more "southern" it gets.

Anyone in this thread ever been to a Crystal Garden w/Boyd show before? I'm going to one in Florida and was wondering if Boyd will stick around after the show to talk to some fans...

Tim plays with TR3 at a local venue here I go to every year and he stays afterwards and talks to everybody and takes pictures and stuff. Its pretty awesome to see him perform in such an intimate setting.

He wont stick around after, no.

Youll probably see some people follow him outside when he steps off stage and lets the band do their thing alone.

no, he doesnt. They might have his printed autograph on them though.


I do have a drumstick that was actually used to play a song, not one of the dozens of new ones he pitches out after every show

Got in a scuffle with a dude who grabbed the one from me that I caught. I caught it in the air, dude grabbed it, it fell to the ground. The wife really wanted one so I went after it, got into it with this dude, and I guess Carter saw what happened. Security broke us up and gave stick to the other guy. The wife was pulling at me while I was going after the stick I caught and told me Carter threw her one to make up for that one.

So I almost had one he used, but instead we ended up with one of the new ones. Oh well, she was happy.

Same thing happened to me when I caught mine. Had a sign asking for one, carter threw it directly to me, I caught it and as I was bringing it down some guy grabbed ahold of it and threw me off balance. Ended up going to the ground for it but I had a firm enough grip with both hands he ended up giving up fairly quickly.

Pretty nuts lol I would've done the same thing. Catching a used stick would be pretty awesome. Would look great framed with the poster
