the song hardwired dropped on page 7 of this thread. that's pretty wild as this thread was started for their 2011 anny shows.

Hoping to score some Phoenix tickets here in about 30 mins!

Spotify released their "Unwrapped" stats again. Apparently I listened to 37,616 minutes of Metallica and listed to Puppets 294 times this year. Whoops, lol

    that’s a lot of minutes!!!

I was listening to Eddie Trunk yesterday as he was breaking down the gravity of the news that broke on Monday. Just so much stuff packed in, new song, new album, 2 years worth of touring… BOOM! And the tour set up being as unique as it is. Awesome stuff.

He was beyond impressed that they are going to play 2 totally unique sets per city. “No one does that!!!” I wanted to call in and be like, ‘ehem, ever heard of DMB?’.

Yeah most bands don't advertise like that, right? Kinda weird.

So far this SeatGeek pre-sale sucks balls.

Well, got 'em, though that process sucked.

I wasn't aware ticketmaster, livenation and seatgeek are all the same. Ugh.

Very easy for me to get tix. Quick Apple Pay to my bro-in-law and done.

    The wait for AUG24 begins!

MetLife / Meadowlands for us. not terrible, 150 per night for 200 levels. hoping the >30 songs is like 36 songs, as their last album tour was 18 songs a night..

Debating doing Detroit....might wait for the single night on sale. The "Pantera" reunion night intrigues me, but I don't want to spend 3 whole days in Detroit...that off night makes buying two nights an obstacle. You'd think they would have coordinated something to fill that day.

I bet the sets will be structured similar to the 2 shows they just did in Buffalo/Pittsburgh...they had two opening acts in the same format for those two.

    Sleep.

I like the day off really… gives us old people a chance to recover. Can’t be going out 2 nights in a row at this age.

Yeah the off day was nice in SF for S&M2 and the 40th Anniversary shows as it gave us a chance to sight see. I was definitely ready to come home though.

i haven't seen them since 2008 and i'm wanting to see these shows, and i'm as ok as i'm going to be with these tix being expensive, but man it's the fucking $200 in ticketbastard fees on a $630/pair of ga floors that is really putting me off on buying tix for this.

It's part of why I held off on buying Chicago tix the other day. Each GA floor ticket was 315, so 630 for 2 tickets but after fees the total cost was 806 and change. $175 in fees. Fucking ridiculous.

I'm waiting until January to see what is left. I love Metallica. I love Pantera, but I am having a difficult time reconciling with the fact that no Dime or Vinnie can be there and it feels like a big cash grab....I'm sure it will be entertaining, but it's a glorified tribute at best. Not a big 5 Finger Death Punch fan and I don't need to be close for this one--Not spending $2000+ between tickets and hotels for 3 nights in Detroit. Will probably try to do a there-and-back from Ohio for Pantera night only.

Pantera will surely announce a separate tour. Although I'd like to see the show, I won't be traveling for the show since, as mentioned, it's basically just a tribute. I doubt they come to Memphis so I'll probably be missing it. Disappointing but I'll move on.

crazy that a band of this caliber is slowly trickling singles for each album yet dmb continues to dmb.

metallica can literally say new album in November 2024, give no info, release no singles, and still have a ton preordered and sold. crazy how the camps operate
