Re: Official Television Thread v2.0

Watched 1.5 episodes of Barry after hearing a lot of good things about it here, and listening to an NPR podcast with Henry Winker. Definitely think I'll keep watching.

I think it was more that I paused it and got distracted with something on my phone for a long time. Forget what.

Have you ever watched Southland? Not sure what streaming service its on but it's fantastic. The final season should have won an Emmy. Michael Cudlitz put on a show.

I remember watching the first season of Southland and loved it. For some reason I never got around to watching any more of it. Thanks for the reminder! I'll pick it back up.

Watched "Huge in Paris" completely randomly last Sunday. Wife went searching for something during a snowy Sunday and decided to give this show a try - I couldn't have been less into it at first. Ended up watching all 8 episodes. Nothing amazing, but it was an easy and enjoyable watch. A few very hate-able characters, but it was funny and kept me interested. Worth giving a shot if you are looking for something, IMO.

the movie is great, but I'm wary of them stretching that premise out any further

Yes, I have. It's certainly not the movie, but it's got its own thing that really gets funny.

Bosch Season 5 came out yesterday. Not as action packed as previous seasons but still a good story line and a good watch.

Going back to finish up Southland now as I never saw it when it came out. And I don't know why I like these cop shows so much but I had also started Chicago P.D. and have been following The Rookie since it first came out. Was also in the process of re-watching Queen of the South (not a cop show, it's just a good show).

On episode 4. I still love this show. Living in LA makes it even better. They show off the city so well.

Same here. Lived in Sherman Oaks and Ventura County for a number of years and it's fun to try and figure out where they are filming.

It was the same for me with The Killing. Being able to tell when they were filming in Seattle or Vancouver, even within the same scene.

    But, yeah...Bosch is awesome.
