ok we arent exactly know for our concert crowds, but i do know there would be alot more people at the show that you'd expect.....i mean their last and only two shows were in oxford at lafayette's in 1994!!!

no not that i can think of ... there's the coliseum in jackson and we have a hard rock hotel in biloxi so a hard rock live show is possible ..... we do have a couple music festivals in jackson like jubilee jam (that has had a few big names) and there's the crawfish boil

No. Jubilee Jam is too small and doesn't have the $, the crawfish boil spends even less. The Jackson Colliseum could maybe be a D&T venue like the ones from '03, but there aren't any great ampitheaters, events, or reasons to come to MS. Unless one of the casinos can snag them somehow, your best chances are just catching them in NOLA or Memphis, but even Memphis hasn't gotten them in a while.

Louisianians usually make fun of people who say crayfish. hehe crayfish.
There is not the first decent venue in Mississippi. The Jackson coliseum is laughable. But I most definitely wish they would play somewhere within a state range because I usually have to travel hundreds of miles to see them. Oh well I guess that's the price you pay for living in a state (and in the middle of two states) that fight each other for being last in everything.
But we're no so backwards anymore, we have discovered shoes!

Let's just hope they come to New Orleans again for something other than overrated Jazzfest. Living it Baton Rouge, my three closest options this year are Houston (5 hours), Dallas (6 hours), and Atlanta (8 hours). He really should somewhere like Mobile or New Orleans, somewhere along the Gulf Coast. I guess there is a lack of decent venue. I think Zephyr Stadium (minor league baseball venue) would be a good place in New Orleans for him to play.

Quit your whining. I'm in Minneapolis, a city of 3 million, and I still have to travel 5-6 hours to my nearest show.

Before I moved here I had to go 10-11 hours to see them, and I didn't complain about it.

I've heard rumors that the band is going to play a private show at the Xcel on July 9 for Best Buy Corporate. Not sure if there is any truth to this rumor, but there is a thread on Nancies about it. Anyone else hear anything about this?
