Was holding out hope I could’ve made this one being I only live 1.5hr away, but a night meeting screwed me over, ofcourse.
Poster is actually pretty awesome and I’ve got a feeling that... well, won’t say it.. but enjoy everyone.

Glad I went. It was pretty much exactly what i expected from a setlist standpoint.
It was probably 65-70% full
Uppers were maybe 30% full
Security was very lax, no pat down and didnt stop anyone from going down to the 100 level

The band seems to be having fun on stage despite a mid week lightly attended show in Albany where they couldve easily mailed it in

Couldnt help but think about how 2 months ago Phish sold out Tues and Wed night including the seats behind the stage

Very empty. There were pockets that looked more full but overall more than half empty I would say.

Wasn't impressed by the crowd, around me anyway. The entire section sat. I didn't wanna be that guy to stand and block a bunch of peoples views but it was hard to get into the show.

That's what happens when a band actually gives a shit about the setlist. I could've gone last night (I'm 3 hours away and make the trip to SPAC every year), tickets were practically free, but I literally just heard every song played last night at MSG this past weekend (with a few shitty exceptions that I didn't want to hear anyway and one good one - YNK).

orange, it does change every show but only between 3 or 4 colors

Although the setlist wasn't unique compared to mohegan/manchester, this show was much more energetic and well-played than either of those. Very tight. So glad I made the drive!

Taped the show last night and got a few videos while I was at it. KTK and Watchtower were out of this world at that show. Tons of fun to be at that one.

coyn113- i went through the same thing - my second show was 12/5/98 and i was annoyed that there were too many repeats from spac 98 (my first show) -instead of enjoying the fact i had bela, tim, and the initial guesting of butch, i focused on the repeats. I think around 05 i got pretty cynical, and finally turned it around in 08... since then i just go to the shows to enjoy the music, the smile on the faces of others, and forget aboutthe streses of life for a few hours. I would guess its a similar path for many fans... the stages of dmb fandom! haha, but in the end everyone is entitled their opinion so i cant judge.

i still wish they would push themselves in terms of trying new things

do a couple of small venue tours for instance. Put the business part aside and focus on the music and exploring their roots in theater type settings

Make the Mexico thing full bad. I cant for the life of me understand why its just D&T.

One of the greatest musical experiences of my life was the One Big Holiday trips that My Morning Jacket as put on in the same region of Mexico.
DMB could bring along 3-5 other acts and replicate that incredible atmosphere

A few days late but what a show! I was on the floor about 10 rows back. I as grooving with this little curly headed blonde woman all night. If you're on here sorry for ruining the setlist for ya!

I was at MSG and heard everything I heard there. However Im in the boat where I just groove and enjoy the music rather than setlist chase. I gave up a long time ago that they would change the sets like they used to.

Glad to hear that there are others on here who want to *enjoy* the show. Sure, catching a deep track or rarity is great, but I think the energy from the stage, not a setlist, is what makes the difference.

For those who scoffed at the ‘free’ tickets & are glad they didn’t make the drive based on the setlist, remember one thing... DMB won’t be touring forever.
