Re: Favorite beer of choice?

Seeking a 1 can trillium hookup. They just released their collab with Bellwoods out of Toronto called "Street Shark". If anyone goes and has an extra can let me know.

Thanks

Was able to try Boom Sauce from Lord Hobo on tap in Indy over the weekend. First time trying a New England style IPA. Enjoyed it! From the quick google search I did, looks like they're making their way into IN.

You very likely got worse gas mileage on the way home than on the way here

Rock Bottom on 86th street is killing it with the NE style IPA's since July. Best thing in Indy that nobody knows about and nobody wants to believe it. But it's totally true.

I snagged 2 VIP tickets to Rhinegeist rare beer fest. lineup of breweries is looking pretty good: http://www.rhinegeist.com/rarebeerfest/

Looks like I get 5 bonus tastes and then 10 sample tickets. I'll have to do some serious planning on what do use the sample tickets for.

Habanero Sculpins are straight up bad - the OG is the best w/ Grapefruit a close second.

good to hear. I know they just started canning and the first couple of runs were pretty crazy and cans went quick. Looks like they moved the needle pretty quick to get on top of it.

My brother and his fiancee made a stop at Maine Brewing Co. on their way home from Acadia National Park; looking forward to some Lunch, MO, and Another One this weekend. Been a while since I've seen much MBC stuff down this way, about a year ago I could get it any time at my local shop but I've seen MO maybe 2-3 times since.

Was back in Kalamazoo, MI this week for work and picked up a nice NE style IPA called M-43 from Old Nation Brewing out of Lansing, MI.

    https://i.imgur.com/QM2qyX6.png

Pours a completely opaque orange and is full of tropical flavor - mainly mango and pineapple. Great taste and finish, and really drinkable!

While I've said this very thing many times, I'll still drop $50, $75...hell even $200 on very rare occasions on a bottle of wine. I get it...beer isn't wine. but I also don't think some of the best, most sought after beers should cost the same as below average bottles of wine.

disclaimer, I'm not at all price sensitive

I get where you're coming from and believe me I've dropped stupid amounts on great beer as well. Just seems like Singlecut's prices are out of whack to me compared to other high quality IPA/DIPA offerings

You've never tried to buy Cantillon in the states! I do disagree on the cost of beer to an extent, ive bought plenty of 30-50 dollar bottles over the last 10 years. they dont get up in to the hundreds though typically (retail - there are $1000 bottles of beer out there on the open market)

I did try to buy from some place in belgium that ships...the bottle prices weren't that bad, but the shipping was nucking futs.

Yeah, that turned into my go-to once it became impossible to find stateside. Even with shipping would usually come out to around 20 bucks a bottle, which isn't bad at all. Problem was customs started cracking down, heard a bunch of horror stories so stopped ordering. Belgiuminabox was always my go to!

Now you got me curious if that is still a thing! Been at least 3 years, maybe more. Not like I can afford a $300 box of beer at the moment!
