I think it might flutter back to 7.5 but this is a pros vs joes play. The Joes are hammering NE and the Pros all have Jax at 10/9.5/9


The big thing will be Sunday - if you see the line dropping that means someone knows something.

Jax already gets after the QB so it's not like Brady wasn't going to get hit on Sunday... but the injury certainly doesn't help.

I ended up throwing NE in a teaser down to -.5 with Vikes +3.5 to hedge on my Pats -9. But I think at the end of the day the Brady hand thing will wind up being much ado about nothing. Hopefully I’m wrong since I hate the Pats and would gladly sacrifice my wager to see the Jags win outright.

Maybe you guys can help me answer a question. Not really big into sports betting but with the Super Bowl just completed obviously there was a lot of stories out about bets on the SB (Bettor X, etc).

The thing that I kept hearing was that there was heavy action on the Eagles and that the sports books were in for a big loss if the Eagles won. So my question is this:

Why didn't the sports books move their lines to make betting on the Pats more attractive and thus lowering their risk?

the line started at 5.5, dropped to 4.5 (even 4 in some places) . there was heavy action on Philly with 1 guy betting about $7 m himself (the let it ride guy from the World Series)`
