I wish Tim would have some better solo work on LIOG.... at Gorge last year he basically just plucked the same note on his guitar, pausing a few seconds in between. That kinda sucked.

Does anyone listen to the band Waker? They sound a lot like DMB with a sax and overall jazz folk rock sound, might come off more like OAR but they are a new fresh band. Check out their song Pike.

check out the LIOG from like 5.31.08. it was like the first LIOG with tim after joining the band and he had a mellow but nice solo for a couple minutes after boyd. its too bad that it never really continued like that. rather than having tim replace butch's solo, they just dropped the solo altogether, which is a shame.

Listened to that song on my way to work today because of your post. To me it sounds like DMB going for a polished pop sound. It was interesting. I'll listen to some more of their music.

Would the band ever put out an EP of some of the songs that don't quite fit on an album? I'm in serious need of some new material and I'm tired of waiting for the new album...if it ever comes.

Doubtful, I imagine they're saving all that stuff for retirement.

But we'll probably have 2 more LT's come out this year. If that helps.

haven't been on the boards much the past 3-4 days, so not sure if there has been any speculation regarding the C'ville situation and DMB's reaction. I'd not be surprised at all if DMB did some kind of benefit/awareness concert at JPJ. That would be great if they did. Donate all proceeds to to a scholarship in the victim's names and/or multiple minority scholarship endowments. Have a webcast also. I'd pay big bucks to support that.

I also say doubtful, but more because they scrapped it for a reason. They don't want to put out material they dont stand behind, for whatever reason it fell out of favor with them.

No way! How'd you find out about them? They're a band here in Nashville. I'm friends with the lead guitarist. Those guys are nasty and there is some heavy DMB influence in their music. Definitely recommend them. Check out the song False Calls.

I had this same thought. Not sure if full band would be on the table, but dave and tim do a lot of benefit shows. I would make the trip to support

I definitely hear more OAR than DMB but still really good nonetheless. Definitely heard DMB in it as well. I'm not a drummer, but the looks of that drum setup is impressive. I'll keep checking them out.

Not trying to start any hype or anything but Rashawn Ross posted a pic on Instagram with Grace Potter in a studio with some DMB hashtags. I'm on my phone and for some reason won't let me upload the pic. First thing that immediately crossed my mind was having her as a guest kinda like alanis morisette on BTCS..... if they somehow have it in them to crank out songs like spoon and don't drink the water or anything on that album that would be greaaattt. Also this very well could have nothing to do with DMB and it could be a completely unrelated project.
