Agreed. Spectrum is my favorite XM channel and not only bc of the sessions. Discovered a lot of new artists through the Baker’s Dozen and their countdowns throughout the years. ZZ Ward, The Head and The Heart, Nathaniel Ratlieff etc I discovered all on the Spectrum. Great channel.

I listened last night and it started at midnight and ended around 1:15am. It is worth a listen. To get his insight on songs gave me more of an appreciation for the album. And it was a breath of fresh air to here him talk so passionately about the songs versus the negative reception it is getting from some people here.

I liked getting a look behind the curtain on songs I don't enjoy all that much (That Girl Is You, She, bkdbkdbkd) – there was a level of self-awareness and a certain lackadaisical approach to the songs that make them more attainable in context.

I enjoyed this. Sounds like this is the kind of record Dave feels comfortable and content making now. Slowly with lots of input with people he feels lift him up — for better or worse. See you folks in another six years. Fingers crossed for Shotgun.

That being said....I was happy with what this band put out for 15+ years, so yes, we can be happy.



I dont see the big deal for not liking the new stuff.

And there are plenty of unreleased songs theyve been playing live that are fan favorites that couldve made this album and instead of having a few goodies, there wouldve been a few shitters instead.
