Plenty of spots for him to insert his dick.

Threw down some new organic fert yesterday that I haven't tried before. Hopefully I see some results because it was dirt cheap.

Friend of mine bought one very similar to that from some lady online. It was pretty old and worn but still standing. So all we did was take the swing part off of the main playhouse and put the 2 pieces in a trailer.

I've heard of getting pretty lucky with local posts like that on FB or Craigslist; you can get a pretty decent one for free or cheap, they just want you to come take it off their hands.

Yeah we're going to get one for the kids but I recall the last time the two of us put something together and I think I still have a camlock embedded in my skull.

    Re: Lawncare/Landscape Thread

Spent 3+ hours on Saturday pulling weeds from our mulch beds and adding new mulch finally after not doing it last year. It was down to bare dirt in some areas. Put down about 2 cubic yards of mulch. I'm pleased with the results. Next project is redoing the edging and mulch around the trees. Several trees have completely overgrown the old mulch beds with grass. They just look like part of the lawn now. So that's going to be quite a bit of work to dig those out. Not sure if I'll get to it this year or not.

Looks great, Benny. Amazing how much some mulch can make the landscaping feel so much more polished/complete.

We got some serious rain last night. One of the neighbors measured 4 inches of rain in 2 hours in their rain gauge. People's backyards were turning into rivers and retention ponds started looking like white water rapids. Shouldn't have to water for a while, but it's been in the upper 80's low 90's and will continue like that all week.

Thanks, yeah, it makes a big difference. It took me longer to get to it this year than I wanted, but it felt so good to get it done. It's a lot of work buying all the bags, hauling them, and getting them dumped around the house. The two cubic yards cost about $54 total though (Home Depot sale). Sure beat paying a landscaper the $400 to $700 that they quoted.

I hope the rain didn't wash away that fresh mulch.

This week is going to rough. 95-100 degree weather, no rain.

I've seen some people suggest running your sprinklers for just a few minutes in the afternoon to bring the soil temps down. Has anyone tried that?

I'm watering for like an hour every morning this next week, just to be safe.

Also looking like I'm going to try to install my own sprinkler system this weekend or next. I did some measuring last night and I'm almost positive that I can cover my whole front yard with three sprinkler heads. It'll be nice to just set the timer and forget instead of lugging the oscillating sprinkler around all the time.

Good thing I didn't water this morning, we just got an inch of rain in the past 30 minutes. Remnants from the recent hurricane, I believe.

Wow! 10x the instrument that scrocks typically uses to aerate his lawn!

Mowed last night in the crazy humidity (dew point today was 80 degrees), but the lawn is looking good. This part of the lawn has been growing like crazy. I should technically mow this part twice a week because it probably grows about 2 or 3 inches a week. It gets shade in the mornings, so that's the only reason I can think of why it grows so much faster than the rest of the yard.
