Man, the Ants Marching solo section was anticlimactic as hell without Boyd. I don't think it'll ever be the same without a violin player. That honestly might have to be one that gets re-worked or goes away until they get someone else on strings.

I know I was actually surprised they played it! Overall I thought it was a good show I was at N1 and just felt something was off, but tonight I thought was a great setlist and overall fantastic show. Buddy is awesome. Watching it livestreamed was so fun and being able to share it with my small kids, they were loving it!

Can't believe people are actually complaining with that set. Given that it was a livestream, the set was really really good. Crush, 41, LIOG, BOWA, Ants, Don't Drink, Rapunzel. Don't know how you can be a DMB fan and say seeing all those songs makes for a bad set.

For what it's worth the crowd in tge pavilion went nuts all night, they loved the show. As did I, had a blast. They probably will not go deep into the catalog til maybe next year, as Buddy gets accustomed more. The band is playing like when they started out... they have to figure out how to do things again. And that makes it interesting for sure. Im guessing down the road they probably will add a new violin player. But they sounded great in Camden. If they didnt sound good I dont think the crowd would have been as into it as they were.

Couple of good shows this weekend.. LIOG was the highlight last night, and that BOWA > Ants combo had the place goin crazy.

Also, giving credit where credit is due... props to the WH for helping myself and another Ant out on resolving a ticket issue the night before the show that made the weekend much less stressful for both of us, excellent customer service from them.

LIOG wasn't the same, IOY is ok, dislike LITHOG, bowa>ants was good except the solo parts of ants... again not the same & Rapunzel is ok, but dislike as a closer.

Last minute add show... was in that clusterfuck hell known as the pit. I don’t know I thought they sounded pretty good last night. Only other show I’ve gone to this tour was Bristow and that was obviously a nightmare in every way. Felt they had Fonz turned way up but I liked it. Buddy seems to really be fitting in and starting to get more comfortable. For being a livestream, the setlist was actually better than I had expected.

#26 for me. Not the best I've seen (looking at you 12/1/1998) but not the worst. Enjoyed what Buddy Strong brought with the keys. Was hoping that DDTW intro was an intro to What You Are and the Ants Marching intro was really an intro to Halloween, but o well. Tours supporting the new albums have historically over the past 15 years or so been the weaker setlists. We got 7 songs off of CT and there are a number of them I'm not expecting to hear again starting with any potential 2019 tours. This was a spur of the moment (one week ago) decision to catch a show this year. We got a 3 hour setlist and although I didn't approve of all the selections I can't complain. I've mastered the secret of driving to Camden (come in and leave from the south over the Walt Whitman and park to the south of the venue) so no complaints there. If anyone wants to complain then stop going and make it easier and cheaper for me to get tickets going forward.

You are never going to have a better show than 12/1/98. If that's your quest, stop and save your money

Caught the show a week or so before that early date. My first was 11/21/98. Flew in solo for both shows last minute and enjoyed both of them very much. Met some nice people Over the 2 days. Could not have been happier with how the days went.

Here's the full show separated by song for download: https://ufile.io/jvt16

Some notes about editing: Since I was at the mercy of the skipping during the first four songs, here's what was done...

Again and Again - Source was taken from the Facebook feed since there were no skips. No noticeable quality difference.
One Sweet World - Shortened intro, no first verse, shortened breakdown and outro due to skips.
Seven - Severely shortened due to skips.
Do You Remember - Intro shortened due to skips.

Other than that, the show sounds great. Apologies for the first four songs, I did what I could.

    **Prepares for AM.org backlash.**

Does anyone think Tim was way off his game last night? I mean I don’t like him electric no matter what but I thought last night was especially bad. Just terrible terrible solos

I watched some of the webcast. I didn't think his playing was off, but I did think that his playing was a different style than past tours. To me it seemed like he was playing less loud and fast, probably trying to match the vibe of the rest of the playing in the band. But maybe I'm way off.

only 16 pages in this thread and it's the Monday after the shows. A lot of people on this board don't care anymore.

I had a good time at the show. songs 1-8 were good. Come Tomorrow slowed things down. Lie in Our Graves is my favorite song so I was in my element there. Steady, Can't Stop and LITHOG was not a great stretch coming off of the high of Graves. IOY to Ants was a good run. First time seeing Stand Up and Steady as we Go since 2005.(although I assume that goes for most fans who saw the band in 2005) Digging a Ditch was a nice treat. Bolted out when Rapunzel started to beat the traffic.

    Song Spread is interesting though

    Come Tomorrow - 7
Before These Crowded Streets - 4
Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King - 3
Under the Table and Dreaming - 2
    Crash - 2
    Stand Up - 2
    Remember Two Things -1
    Busted Stuff - 1

I was in the pit. Purposely stayed at the back to stay out of the way and I knew it was going to be hot/crowded. We decided to take a breather out in the lobby right before LITHOG started(sounded great btw), but some people were big time assholes about letting people out. Wouldn't even acknowledge saying excuse me, and sticking elbows out has you tried to move past. It was because of this that we didn't even attempt to go back into the pit. We stayed right outside in the 100 section the remainder of the night where the sound was actually better anyway.

I understand that people don't want to give up their spots, but we weren't cutting up to the front. We were moving against the back rail, and it was the first time we moved.

In saying that, the people around us where we watched the majority of the show were great. Had a lot of fun for the most part, and the band was interacting and laughing all night.

I don’t ever expect to get anything on the level of 12/1/1998. I got exactly what I expected on 6/16/2018. Yes I wanted WYA instead of DDTW, could live without crush, and Halloween over AM but these are things that historically don’t happen on a tour immediately after an album release. I got 7 CT songs and doubt that starting next year will hear more than 3 in a show. Like I said I’m satisfied with 6/16 because I got what I knew I’d get going into the set.

Had a really fun weekend -- shows 30 and 31 for me.

Thought N2 was better than N1. Would have loved to get WYA and Hello Again, but alas. I hate Stand Up, but actually really enjoyed it Saturday.

Shows 34 and 35 for me this weekend as was very pleased. I don't really expect to see anything extraordinary at this point and both of these shows were solid. I thought all of the new songs sounded great regardless of my opinions of them based on listening to the album. There are definitely some holes to fill in certain songs with no violin present but they will get there. I thought Buddy was a nice addition and fit in pretty well considering he's only played less than 20 shows with the band at this point. N2 was the first time I'd heard Steady As We Go & Stand Up. While neither are particularly great songs on paper, it's still nice to see something I've never seen before after so many shows. My wife's been going to shows with me since 2012 and she said N1 was her favorite so far. N2 was my dad's first show and he had an absolute blast. From a personal standpoint, I couldn't have asked for a better weekend. I get that some people are probably disappointed but I think managing expectations is just the name of the game nowadays given the state of the band. They still sound great and are very entertaining, which will keep me coming back.

I thought the whole band was balanced far better than past years last week

Show 43 for me. Been seeing this band nonstop the past 18 years and just when I think I am ready for a break I get pulled back in. Something about Saturday night was just so much tighter and generally happier than the past few years. I miss Boyd but maybe his absence is forcing the band to experiment and reinvent themselves. Dave seemed to have a genuine smile on his face much of the night too. I wonder just how much the BT situation was hanging over the band maybe for longer than most people knew?

All of the new stuff sounded great too. Set list had its shares of ups and downs but they hit just enough of the classics and left me wanting me to hear all the new tunes again. It’s been a long time since I felt that way. Fingers crossed for a winter tour!
