Hoping for a good one this year, will likely be the only show I catch in 2018, as this is my "home" venue and we are having our 2nd kid in March. Thankful for the Saturday date!

Where do you guys stay? I remember we stayed at the Staybridge Suites back in 2016. Wondered if there's better alternatives...

We usually stay at the Hampton Inn in Stow. Pretty easy in and out and close to the venue. We check in, drop off our stuff and head over to Brubaker's for some pre-tailgating before the lots open.

Camping is not ideal for Blossom, especially if you plan on drinking at the show. Most campgrounds would require a decent drive from Blossom. Hotels are by far the easier option.

There are few places close to the venue. We stay at the Hampton Inn in Stowe. Things fill up pretty quick though. Tailgating is always a great time. As long as you're cool nobody bothers you. There is supposed to be no grilling, but if you make it quick you may get away with it. I recommend the VIP lots for parking if you can get in. Otherwise you're out in a field and it's quite a hike to get in. Also, if it rains there's a good chance you can get stuck.

First time heading to Blossom too, staying at Home2Suites. Anyone think this will be a tough ticket? Can't decide between Deer Creek N2 and Blossom for priority choice with the Warehouse.

Also, for those who have been before, is full tailgating allowed or is it more have a drink by your car and head into the venue?

Probably tougher than normal since it's usually a mid week show. Like I said tailgating is awesome. Very laid back. As long as you're not being a jerk and keep everything cool, no problem. No grilling is allowed, but I've seen people get away with it.

Probably will be at Brubaker's Pub prior to the lots opening for some pre-tailgate celebration.

About 12 years ago I went to Blossom for Tom Petty, and the tailgating was off the hook! It was so much fun! I never really saw a great tailgating scene there otherwise.

In 2013 for DMB we tried tailgating, but one of the friends I was with is a cop, and he was kind of being a dick about it. Obviously we were out of his jurisdiction, and not breaking the law, but it was obvious that he was no longer a fun person to go to concerts with.

Can't wait to go back there again... my favorite concert venue!! I only wish DMB would play here in late September. I saw REM and Oasis there years ago and both shows were on perfectly crisp early fall evenings. Blossom during the fall is the best!

Without a parking pass, plan on walking at least a half mile from car to seat. Tailgating is fine as long as you don't look underage and aren't being an asshole (don't set up a beer pong table in the lot). If you are discreet, you will face no problems. Security has tightened up in the past couple years, so do not wait too long to go inside, as they wand everyone now, and you could risk missing early songs.

Thinking about going to Blossom for the first time. So it looks like this venue is about 45 minutes from Cleveland and 23 minutes from Akron. Is anything a "must do" in Cleveland or Akron if I'm hanging out there the day before the show? Thanks!

Rock n' Roll Hall of Fame!

Also, the Pro Football Hall of Fame is in Canton, about 20 miles south of Akron.

If you have a whole day, there is a lot to do, depending on what you like and what the weather is like. Rock Hall is cool, but wouldn't spend too much time there. Football HOF is cool, but in Canton away from a lot of other things. The Indians are out of town this weekend, so that's a bust if you are a baseball fan. Ohio City has a pretty awesome brewery scene if you are a beer guy. Melt Bar & Grilled is a great way to get a taste of Cleveland. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park is a must do and it is very close to Blossom. Cedar Point is only an hour and a half away from Blossom if that is up your alley.

I didn't know there was a national park nearby. Might have to check that out as I'm a big hiking fan. Thanks.
