The season isn't even a month old yet. Can teams formally protest his presence on the field? If both teams refuse to play can they be forced to forfeit? I think the teams know in advance who the umps are for the season. Write a formal letter of protest in advance of the game. If one team does it and gets away with it, others should follow.

Wow! Great game by the Giants tonight. Logan Webb was dialed in. Yes, the first two batter got hits. Logan then got 20 straight outs. Pitched for 7 innings. Giants won 5-0.

That's tough to see. Reminds me in the late 90's/early 00's when Phillies president Bill Giles called his team a "small market team." Philly is the 4th biggest market. You have to call out these owners when they try and pull this nonsense. Sell the team if you don't want to compete.

We thought they were getting ready to sell the team 3 years ago but they didn’t

They care so much about asses in seats and NESN ratings but it doesn’t translate to what they are paying to keep on the field.
