Re: Dave Matthews Band "Drive-In" - Every Wednesday At 8!

Might as well do Alpharetta 2017 Dave and Tim this week to keep up with the GA shows for the week! That was a good show and had a cover of Melissa. Gregg Allman had passed a couple days prior to the show.

LITHOG took a while to develop.
Right, but this would be webcast today, so I just don’t think it hold up as well.

2015 @ SPAC is just better IMO. On 7/4/15 I was watching the dead webcast in Chicago and I check the dmb set and saw Friend of the Devil on it. Huge WTF moment for sure. Very cool. Plus Béla was a guest on the show and I think the dropped a really good graves and 41 with Béla that night. For this series I would prefer SPAC 2014. I can’t stand the lovely ladies, but it’s only a few songs and not as predictable that night as the rest of the tour.

I picked that shit up from the first few notes, and immediately started looking around the shed for the other heads that were on to it! Id say the vast majority had no clue what was going on but I fucking loved it!!

Give me 6/24/03 or 7/9/03 over all of this. Those set are ridiculous. Plus

It was about halfway through the song (thanks, ballsfest) when heard something that caught my ear and had to cock my head like "wait, the fuck? this is awesome."

    So cool to hear live.

Would have only been my 2nd show, so who knows how much I would have absorbed and remembered, but such shit luck the band didn't come to FL in '03.

'04 Tampa show was pretty solid though.

I mean I get that boyd was bad.Don’t think Boyd was as bad as June 2000 though. Think it will be pretty good overall with those sick sets

they were still great performances though. They absolutely would hold up well. If you don't wanna see them because you've heard enough that's on you, play counts for almost all of them have plummeted in recent years.

Alligator Pie has 12 performances in the last 8 or 9 years.
    Dive In has 14.
Ftwii has picked up a bit but it was a single, it's going to get played and it had died down there for a few years.
lithog has 12 plays from 2013-2018.
Seven only had two plays on the summer tour last year.
SMLAM's been averaging about 10/year for a few years now, that's about exactly where it should be.
Spaceman has 5 plays in 4 years.
Squirm has 10 in 3 years.
Time Bomb has 7 since 2012.
And Why I Am is in the 20/year range, which I don't think it should ever leave.

So, if you've heard any of those too much in the last, let's say 5 years, it's not because the band's been playing them too much. I'm totally fine with revisiting the BW era every once in a while.

I was sitting right behind Ben and O, and lost my shit! After about a minute of me being the only one singing, he turned and was like wtf is this?!?

Going in it was in my mind some kind of GD tribute was possible but had no idea what it might be. Getting Bela on it was the icing on the cake - its far from perfect, but I love that performance! Still brings a giant smile to my face...good times man!

I have seen more than my fair share of BW songs. I am only missing Baby Blue to complete the album and that obviously isn’t happening.

I have seen Seven... 9 times since 2009.

Imagine if it was '96 with that Warehouse. It won't be, though. 🙃

It's incredible live, I've been lucky to get it more than once. By far one of Dave's best tunes, in my opinion.

Heard the BW version being blast at a bar right outside the venue on 4/27/13. I’ll count it as a performance. It’s close enough. Jk

No but seriously it sounded really good and got me pumped for the show. It is a good Dave solo tune.

Dave Matthews Band "Drive-In" - Every Wednesday At 8!

Why is Stefan randomly talking to a Michigan local news channel?? Haha

Just to promote a live stream? Seems a little over the top.
