That’s a pretty damn good set - you know they’ll do CT songs and they chose 4 of the better ones, rest of the set is all good good tunes. No shake me or corn bread or none of that crap!

I know this is free, but it would be nice to see variety. I’m pretty convinced it’s this Boyd situation that is fucking this all up. There are so many shows in the last ten years that are worth airing. They could easily post an interesting show each week from a different year. That said, why would you promote a version of your band that no longer exists? So it makes sense they keep shoving 2018/19 in our face. But damn are those becoming really boring to watch.

This. It absolutely has to be something to do with Boyd getting paid for the older shows. I love Buddy and have really defended their sound with him when I’ve gone to shows, but seeing so many of these 18-19 shows on these streams I find myself saying they sound the exact same and I’ve never said that about DMB before. As hard as it is for me to admit this is not even close to the same DMB.

I think 2019 had a very scripted feel. The sets weren’t diverse, the jams didn’t change much.

From a setlist perspective, If you want the shows to feel “fresher” while in attendance, you have to give up setlist watching/couch touring. You just have to. It certainly helped me enjoy this show live more as well as my others that tour.

I like how they lured everyone in with the first show (DC N2 2019) being the only one that was not previously aired in any capacity. Every stream since then has been a show with the audio already released. Also, it’s the only show that has not stayed up on YouTube after airing.

Look, I’m glad dmb has gone into the vault with this and gave us 2006, 2003, and 2004, that’s all fine, and those shows are great. It’s just that the rest of the series Is lacking pretty bad, and pretty uninteresting at this point. Is it that hard to release a videos from 2016, 2015, 2013 Or whatever to mix things up. I’m not saying those should be the old releases. Leave the old release for pre 2009. I’m saying they should be the filler shows that are “new school” shows. Basically do what phish has been doing. See what I’m saying?

If only it had more bad songs in it like Hunger for the Great Light, Smooth Rider, Steady as We Go and it was from 2016 when the band sounded worse this would be so much more of an exciting Drive In, really a missed opportunity

Solid choice , hopefully they cleaned up the audio . Last years Sirius broadcast was one of the worst sounding shows they aired IMO .

It's not the boyd situation management just is pure lazy with giving out classic content. Hell even the classic shows are all live trax shows.



If the boyd situation was the issue we wouldn't have phtos like last week on DMB's website from the 04 GA show where they showed boyd by himself. We also wouldn't have any classic shows period.



Management loves hoarding classic unreleased contact and handing out scraps.

....I took an edible during Stay because I was pumped for a early set Stay, and ended up wandering on the lawn for most of the show forgetting what state I was in.. It was fun.

I can’t imagine what influence Boyd has on what gets released. I really don’t think DMB is making much money from the actual show on you tube. Maybe they are making some money from the posters and shirts. It would come down to not giving Boyd a small payday. Out of spite? Just doesn’t sound right.
