Let's hope those songs went slam dunk in the recycle bin and the new Dave-Carter stuff is way better.

I hope for this but why would these songs be road tested if it wasn't in the works.

    Is this serious?

Ask basically any "road tested" song in the last 10-13 years. None make an album.

Good Good Time, Can't Stop, Crazy Easy, Kill the King, Idea of You, Sugar Will, Shotgun, Joy Ride, etc. etc.

"Road tested" songs have been basically all scrapped since Busted Stuff came out, and even that album was planned to be scrapped originally.

I wouldn't buy it and would probably skip the tour knowing that would make up so much of the set list.

Sounds like we have the album pretty well determined.

    I would purchase.

The OP's album would be a piece of shit; it would be way too mellow for casual DMB fans. Precedent would suggest we'll be looking at an album of mostly, if not all, new material.

Out of the new songs, I definitely want Samurai Cop and Bismarck on an album. Maybe Bob Law, Black and Blue Bird, and Virginia in the Rain. Definitely none of the other ones though.

I still think most of the new songs would work better on a solo album but who knows.

Because they are good songs that should be released?

It's a shame really as all of those are better than most of the new stuff.

I don't think anyone here would be happy with a studio version of any "road tested" songs.

Aren't the most popular DMB releases filled with road tested songs? I think someone on here has a list of all the songs that were road tested before they were released.

In theory, both of the first albums were pretty well road-tested. There's tons of fan favorites that never made an album.

I don't think people here would be happy with a Studio version of them.

But you think people would be happy with studio versions of what the OP posted?

Out of the two posted in here, which would you prefer?

I won't take any album seriously that has Plastic Girl on it. I don't expect it to be ever played again to be honest.

Of the two, probably the second listing with older songs. I don't think people here will be happy with the studio versions, but would like the track listing better.

I don't think the people here would be happy with the studio versions of either though, but would be more likely to find a handful of versions they like with the newer material.

Where did you get these percentages? Sugar Will has more of a chance than Bob Law, VITR, or B&BB?

Songs are played with different lyrics and some new arrangements all the time. I don't care how they play it, it's a 13 year old song, it's not making an album with a bunch of brand new songs on it, give it up Jesus.

noone knows what this album will have. We've heard rumblings about them possibly recording some B sides type songs when they were in the studio last a couple years ago to mix in with new songs.

I wouldnt bet on it, but its not out of the question. Those Sugar Will's had the most complete lyrics theyve ever had last year, and it got brought out with the new songs in Cville, which could suggest they worked on it in studio. With that said I thought it sounded horrible.
